Goodreads Synopsis

Kate Winters has won immortality. But if she wants a life with Henry in the Underworld, she'll have to fight for it.

Becoming immortal wasn't supposed to be the easy part. Though Kate is about to be crowned Queen of the Underworld, she's as isolated as ever. And despite her growing love for Henry, ruler of the Underworld, he's becoming ever more distant and secretive. Then, in the midst of Kate's coronation, Henry is abducted by the only being powerful enough to kill him: the King of the Titans.

As the other gods prepare for a war that could end them all, it is up to Kate to save Henry from the depths of Tartarus. But in order to navigate the endless caverns of the Underworld, Kate must enlist the help of the one person who is the greatest threat to her future.

Henry's first wife, Persephone.

My Review

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review.

When we left off with The Goddess Test Kate was starting her six month vacation in Greece. And now in Goddess Interrupted Kate is returning to the Underworld to spend the rest of her live her life with the man she fell in love with, the King of the Underworld, Henry. Kate and Henry were married in The Goddess Test. Now upon her return she will stand with Henry as the Goddess of the Underworld.

Kate has this fantasy going on i her head where she and Henry will now live happily ever after. But Kate is very disappointed when she arrives home from her vacation and Henry is not there. Kate gets very upset because no one will tell her where Henry is exactly nor what he is doing. Kate wants to be treated as an adult now and not a child. She doesn't understand that they are trying to protect her.

But Kate eventually finds out that they are fighting a battle that they will probably lose in the end. When almost all of the Gods end up having to go and help Henry fight because he has been taken hostage. Henry is a very powerful God so if he ends up hurt and needs help to fight a war then you figure out real quick that whatever they are fighting is very strong and powerful.

Kate is a very strong person when the time comes for her to be. At times she wants everything her way but when she is the only one left to find Henry and the other Gods she does not hesitate. She does what she has to do to save Henry, her mother along with the other Gods and Goddess.

You know I said earlier in my review that when Kate returned from her vacation with a fantasy that she and Henry would live happily ever after. Well yeah she did think that and was disappointed. But what girl that has fallen in love for the first time and married the man of her dreams wouldn't think that. In ways I think that Henry was the selfish one and not Kate. All Kate wanted was for Henry to love her too and spend time with her.

I won Goddess Interrupted from Emilie @ Emilie's Book World . I had read a lot of reviews for The Goddess Test series and knew that I had to read them. When I won Goddess Interrupted I had to have The Goddess Test and so I went out and bought it. I couldn't wait to start reading them. I kept turning the pages and turning the pages wanting to know what was happening next. Although The Goddess Test and Goddess Interrupted kept me turning the pages I didn't want it to end. I can't wait to read The Goddess Inheritance the third book in the series. But I have a few months to wait. It is not expected to be published until February 26th 2013.
