GOODREADS SYNOPSIS

DARK PASSAGE

Jen hides in a rundown mansion when her life falls apart, has vivid experiences with a beautiful male entity who longs to be her soulmate, and must choose reality of living or dead. Her childhood friend Ivy 19, from a rough past, can communicate with the dead, and other supernatural gifts emerge. Ivy will resist the evil that would separate the lovers.

“With one final glance behind her, Jen urged her horse forward, and toward the safety of the mountains. Her heart was heavy and she immediately thought of the other realm. Her hope was that they were aware of what had happened and would help. Chaos was already breaking out; and the world was in danger of slipping back to a time of great darkness, reminiscent of the Middle Ages."

MY REVIEW

DARK PASSAGE

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I received a copy of Dark Passage from the author for review.

Jen rents an old run down mansion to escape a husband that is very mean to her. She has been having dreams about a man and she has fallen in love with the man in her dreams. How do you fall in love with a man from your dreams? Well I am not real sure about this one but she has been having some very vivid dreams about her and this man together. There is a lot of strange supernatural things going on in this house that she has rented.

Jen's best friend Ivy has had a very hard life herself. She lost both a brother and a sister and has always felt like it was her fault that she was to blame. With feeling of this guilt Ivy has made a lot of bad choices in her life. But after visiting Jen in her new home and knowing that the dead still resides in Jen's home Ivy turns her life around. She is tired of being the person that she was she wants a better life for herself.

Bill the man in Jen's dreams and the very same man who she fell in love with in her dreams is the owner of the mansion that she rented. Not only did Jen fall in love Bill but he fell in love with her too. After Bill bought the house one day he was on a ladder. He was painting the outside of the house. He fell off the ladder because of some strange supernatural thingy happening. The fall put him in the hospital and in a coma. Bill can communicate with Jen and his best friend Peter while being in a coma.

Dark Passage was one of those stories that you don't want to put down. It was a very fast paced and gripping tale of the supernatural. I loved the different POV's, I loved that we got to see and know what each character was thinking and feeling throughout the story. Dark Passage was M.L. Woolley's first novel and I am very thankful to her for giving me the opportunity to read her novel. After finally getting around to reading it I was very upset that I hadn't read it sooner. M.L. Woolley is a new author that we all need to keep our eyes and ears open for more of her work.
