GOODREADS SYNOPSIS

NO SHELTER

When the environment is ravaged by rising sea levels and monstrous storms, America is divided and survival becomes more precious than love.

After a harrowing rescue and escape, Nada sets off to rescue Isaac from the prison where she was forced to abandon him. During this long journey, Nada’s feelings for Daedric intensify… until they discover Isaac roaming the mountains north of the Salton Sea–and he’s not alone. Isaac is accompanied by a mysterious and beautiful girl, a fellow prisoner who was also set free by the Guardians. Nada is conflicted about how she will fit into their tribe, and how she factors into Isaac's past. Meanwhile, Isaac must decide whether to ditch everyone for their own good or stay true to his promise to Nada to "never give up."

This is a post-apocalyptic novella.

REVIEW

LEFT BEHIND

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review.

Left Behind is the second book in the No Shelter trilogy and it picks up where the first book No Shelter left off. Nada, Daedric and their friends have barely escaped from the prison where the Gaurdians were holding Daedric's little sister. Nada's friend Isaac doesn't make it out with them. Nada feels guilt over leaving Isaac behind and decides that she is going back for him. Daedric and the rest of their tribe doesn't think that it is a good idea that it is too dangerous. But she doesn't care how dangerous it will be she can't leave anyone behind. She is going back for Isaac by herself but her friends won't let her.

In the first book Nada and Isaac were attracted to each other and shared the same sleeping bag. Then Nada found out somethings about Isaac and Mary that hurt Nada very much. Then while Nada and Daedric were going back to rescue Isaac from the prison Nada and Daedric developes feelings for one another.

Then out of the blue Isaac shows up with a very beautiful girl from the prison. Nada still has the same feelings for Isaac but now she is confused of how she really feels because she likes Daedric too. She is not sure either if she can trust Isaac anymore because he told her the Gaurdians just let them go. Nada is thinking in the back of her mind "why would they she just let them go for no reason?"

I can't decide which book I liked the best the first book in the No Shelter trilogy or the second book. They are both very good reads. I really don't know who to trust in the book. Should I trust Isaac? Or should I trust Daedric? I don't know with Isaac I can't believe that the Gaurdians just let him go like that. Daedric I just can't figure him out. I think Daedric is hiding something as well.
