MY REVIEW

Yesterday's Gone: Episode 1

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I received a copy of the book as a free download from Amazon.

Yesterday's Gone is what is called serialized novel. Have you read Stephen King's The Green Mile? When it first came out it was released in six different books over a period of time. It's also like the tv show The Walking Dead where you only get one episode a week. There are like 6 episodes in a season.

The story itself is like Stephen King's The Stand where people wake up to find that they are alone. Their families and friends have disappeared, gone and they have no clue as to where they are or what happened to them. And like the characters in The Stand they have this need to find other people. Each character leaves their homes in search of other people. They need to know if there are any other survivors and to make sure they are not the last person left on earth.

Where have all the people gone? Why did they disappear? Why were only a few left behind? Yesterday's Gone reminds me of a movie I saw a long time ago that is called "Where Have All the People Gone?" that starred Peter Graves in 1974. It was a very good movie. I really loved it and it has stayed with me all these years. I think Yesterday's Gone will be a great read as well. I do plan on reading the next episode of Yesterday's Gone.

I am really fascinated by Yesterday's Gone being a serialized novel as I do love The Walking Dead and Stephen King's The Green Mile and The Stand being one of my most favorite books and movies.
