Blurb:

Rian Winson's parents take in troubled teens and offer them a home, safety and kindness. Watching each one of them stumble and fall has left her brokenhearted and a little bit jaded. In spite of that, she's come to care desperately for the latest, Sara.

She's determined to keep Sara from falling victim to the same fate, life on the streets or worse. But after meeting Jess Remiel, a beautiful stranger who seems bent on rescuing her from the dangerous world that grips her friend, Rian realizes when you try to save someone, you may only succeed in being pulled under yourself.

Will the help of this mysterious champion keep her safe? Or is he pulling her in deeper?

My Review:

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

In Rian's home teens have come and gone over the years; her parents take in teens that have gotten themselves into trouble or maybe their own parents just don't want them anymore. They take them in and give them a place to stay and they try so hard to help them. Not all of them will let anyone get close enough to help.

But there is one girl Sara that Rian tries more to help than any of the others. Sara wants Rian's help but she just can't seem to really give it all up. Whenever Sara is in trouble she will call Sara to come and get her. Rian never says no she always goes to help Sara or does what she asks of her. Rian says she is not going to go with Sara ever again but she always ends up doing what she asks. Once when she was out with Sara she met a guy Jess whom she liked very much and he liked her. But Jess would not have relationship with Rian he said there was no way he could. But every time Jess saw Rian out with Sara where ever it was they may be Jess always took Rian home telling her she didn't belong there and her would tell her to never come back or go out with Sara. But Rain wouldn't listen because all she wanted to help Sara. She wanted Sara to have a better life. She knew that deep down Sara was a good person she was just born on the wrong side of the tracks as they say.

Even though Rian wanted to help all of these teens she knew she couldn't help them all because they wouldn't let her. She knew the ones she could help and the ones that she couldn't and if she couldn't help them she stayed away from them as much as possible. You know Rian is a very good person but if you cross her or more like hurt someone that she really cared about then boy you best watch out because she would come after you. You didn't hurt her family or anyone she loved and get by with it.

I really felt for Rian she tried so hard to help these teens when they would let her that is. But then some of them would not let her. I know or I think they wanted help they she just didn't know how to ask for it or maybe they just thought that they deserved what life dished out to them. They were probably told by someone that they were no good and that no one would ever care about them. Rian knew these teens deserved better but she didn't think that she herself did though.

If you have not read The Fall then I think that you should because you don't know what you are missing. The Fall is one of the best books that I have read in 2013. I hope that there is a second book. I would like to know more about Rian and Jess and how their relationship turns out.
