Carly Fitzpatrick had married the love of her life…and lost him in a tragic accident.

With no intention of ever falling in love again, she prefers to rely on herself to provide for her two young sons.  She doesn't count on meeting the one man who could change her mind.

Will Buchanon is a man on a mission.  For twelve years he has been tracking an imposter; and the trail leads to Hidden Springs.  His only objective is to bring the criminal to justice.  Falling in love is not part of his plan.

Sparks fly from the first moment they meet but Carly resists Will at every turn, refusing to surrender to her desires.  When her life is put in jeopardy, he risks everything to save her, and in the process proves that he is worthy of her love.

Can he win the heart of the woman who has a will of her own?

The Avid Reader would like to know...
What event in time would you like to visit?

I don't know of a specific event that I'd like to visit as much as just going back in time and living in the late-1800s.  I'd love to be immersed in that time period; buying a plot of land, building a house, raising livestock, both to use for food and as labor, growing my own food in a garden, and most importantly, not living by the clock.  Though I know that it would be hard work, both physically and mentally, especially without the modern conveniences that we've all grown accustomed to, there is something very appealing to me about working, and playing, on your own time.  Doing a chore or project until it's done, and then moving on to the next one.  Not having to worry about rushing here or there, to this appointment or that; rather letting the weather or the month dictate how your day will be.

I also love the idea of belonging to a community where it doesn't matter where you went to school, who your parents or grandparents are, or what you do for a living.  I know, there was snobbery and disdain even back then, (Agnes Rothschild from my books, for instance) but when it came down to it, people were there for each other, blood relations or not.

And I do think that it would be exciting to have seen such things as the introduction of the railroad to the West, the invention of electric light bulb, blue jeans, and Coca-Cola.  So many things that we take for granted today. It was such a time of discovery, one which I would've loved to be a part of.
