BLURB:

Eleven. A name. A title. A sentence passed. If you aren’t a Beauty, you’re less than a person. You’re a commodity known as a Potential… and you only have so many chances to qualify as a human being.

In her seventeen years, Eleven has seen the best and worst in humanity. She’s been passed around and abused by the bad. She’s hoped and dreamed for the good. And she’s despaired for the hand she’s been dealt. Now she’s been purchased by a wealthy man who has the ability to improve her life and help her become a Beauty – if she can put up with his erratic and controlling personality for long enough, that is. Complicating things is the appearance of a stunningly beautiful young man with amethyst eyes who treats Eleven to the rarest form of attention for a Potential: kindness.

Does Eleven trust her powerful owner to help her escape this life of servitude and enslavement, or does she gamble everything on the enigmatic young man who seems to offer her more than she could ever imagine possible?

EXCERPT:

“I want to see you. Won’t you please lift your head?”

His kind voice and false modesty are making me sick. He only wants to look at me to satisfy himself. He only wants to see what I look like because he’s flawless. He’s sicker than the other ones. Maybe not as sick as Shawn – I have the scabs on my lips to prove that – but being less sadistic than a controlling megalomaniac isn’t that impressive.

But before I can tell my body to resist, I jerk up my head and focus my sharp hazel eyes on his.
Recognition. A long-forgotten memory surges into my mind, but it is driven away by a sharp pain at my neck. As the memory retreats, waves of pain replace it until the world is made of agony and darkness.

Then only darkness.

My Review:

Imagine living in a world where people judge you and the government rates you by the way you look. Well Grace does. She is an eleven. But an eleven is not too bad. She can hopefully get a higher rating and live a free life.  Grace hopes to one day rate higher and be free. Well a girl can dream can’t she?

Things start looking up for Grace when she is bought by a doctor for his daughter. But his daughter doesn’t want anything to do with that “beast”. So Shawn decides that Grace is in need of training before he can allow her to come in contact with his daughter so he hires his daughter’s boyfriend Reece who is a professional trainer for Grace to teach her how to act when she is among beauties.

With Reece on the job things start looking up for Grace. She now has a friend something she never thought was possible for her as a slave and nothing more than an animal to the rest of the world.

But Grace is heartbroken when she overhears a conversation between Reece and Shawn one day she thinks Reece has been lying to her about being her friend. But Grace is a very naïve girl who thinks all people of beauty is against her and doesn’t realize what Reece is doing.

Untitled Beauty was way better than I thought it was going to be when I first started reading it. But it didn’t take long for it to grab me and I don’t think it let go when I finished reading it. I am still thinking about it in more ways than one. I am so glad I gave it a try and you will be too. Untitled Beauty was the first book by C.E. Wilson that I have read but it definitely won’t be the last I can assure you of that. I can’t wait to read more by this author.
