Genre: Vampires, ParanormalMagic, Angels, Demons Blurb:

Former ADA Alastair Maddox pursues Prohibition Chicago’s most dangerous monsters after witnessing the deaths of his parents and grandparents as a boy. When a former colleague in Chicago PD comes to ask Alastair for help, he comes face to face with the mysterious Alexandra DeLane. But something’s off. DeLane is way too calm and her eyes are the color of blood. After she escapes, Alastair goes on the hunt only to find himself the prey of an ambitious and mysterious mob boss who plots to have him murdered. The problem? Alastair doesn’t stay dead and comes back as something else. Something more dangerous and straight out of a horror novel.

My Review:

BloodLaw is told from the first-person point of view. Alastair Maddox’s point of view to be exact. Alastair is a former ADA for Chicago. There have been a few murders in the area lately. Alastair brings in this mysterious lady, Alexandra DeLane. Alastair believes that Alexandra is the murderer and has her brought in for questioning. Without any evidence or proof that she is the killer, Alastair has her detained.

Alastair leaves for the night but unfortunately, he takes Alexandra with him as she gets in his head and his dreams. During the middle of the night, Alastair is awakened with a call from the precinct telling him to get down there real quick. After arriving at the jail Alastair learns that Alexandra has escaped leaving a slew of dead bodies in her wake. double as his bodyguard.

Armageddon, the  Alastair spends the rest of the book gathering the evidence he needs to prove that Alexandra is the killer. He also spends his time looking for Alexandra herself hoping to seek the justice he believes she is due.

Alexandra leaves a whole slew of dead bodies behind her always staying a few steps ahead of Alastair’s search for her. Alastair vows to find Alexandra if it takes everything he has to make her pay for what she has done.

Alastair soon learns in his search for Alexandra that there is more going on in the underground of Chicago than he ever thought possible. A whole new world is opened up to Alastair during his search one that he may wish he had never revealed. long  Alexandra is a very mysterious and sexy lady and with the description given for her in BloodLaw, I kept picturing the animated lady from that old Roger Rabbit movie. Yeah, go figure. I guess I am telling my age here. Only I don’t see Alexandra as animated.

I really and truly enjoyed reading BloodLaw with the Chicago mobs with all their word use like the Big House or Tommy Gun. I really enjoyed the mix of old gangsters, Chicago’s finest, and vampires.

BloodLaw starts out with action and never lets up. There is this one big twists that just takes over the story and left me flipping the pages faster and faster wanting to know all there was to know about the world created for BloodLaw.

I so enjoyed getting the story from Alastair’s point of view I like stories that is told in this manner as you can get inside a person’s head and get to know them inside and out. It's like you maybe you are them for a little while and you are seeing everything go down through their eyes and heart. I can’t wait for more of Chicago Vampire and this world.

I highly recommend BloodLaw to all fans of mobsters, gangsters, and vampires with a whole lot of mystery. One-click your copy of BloodLaw today to begin the epic adventure!
