Excerpt:

Around The World

My friends come from different parts of the world, also called continents. You may have seen or heard this word before in books. Do you know what a continent is? A continent is a big land.

There are seven continents: North America, South America, Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, and Europe. (show world map) Let's go around the world and meet some of my friends!

My Review:

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Around The World is a great little book to teach children about all the continents and how many they are. It will also teach them about all the different cultures in the world and how each and every one of us is different but that we are the same as well.

It will teach children that people around the world eat different kinds of food, we dress differently and we speak a different language too. And just because we talk, eat and dress differently we are still the same. We are one.

Ana Koza wrote Around The World so that children from all over the world can learn about other children that live far, far, far away from them. If you like reading to your child and teaching them at the same time then I think you and your child both will love Around The World.

A wonderful book for ages 1-7 year of year. A boy named Tommy often forgets to say the magic words, but then he realizes how important those words are. Let Tommy remind us about those words in a fun and magic way!
Excerpt:

The Magic Words

This is Tommy. He often asks for things and forgets the magic words. One day Tommy told his Mom, "Mom, I want to go to the park and ride my bike."

His mom replied, "Tommy, you are forgetting something important. You haven't said the magic words."

My Review:

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Tommy has a great mom who loves him very much. She tries so hard to teach Tommy The Magic Words. She loves him and wants him to be a nice person so that other people will like him more. At first Tommy has a hard time remembering the magic words. But then he realizes that he gets more stuff and that he gets it quicker if he uses them. Tommy has a good heart wants to be a good little boy and do what his mother tells him to do. Besides he wants to be nice and polite to others as well.

The Magic Words is another great little book to teach children how to be nice and how to get what they want quicker too. I would recommend The Magic Words to all mothers who want to teach their children to be a nice person and to use The Magic Words. I bet you are wondering what are the magic words aren't you? Want to know what they are? Well I can't tell you because then that would just spoil the book for you and there would be no need for you to pick up your copy which I recommend that you do. It is not something that you will regret doing. If your child loves to read or have you read to them then they will love you for buying them their very own copy.

Author Interview:

What inspired you to write Around the World and The Magic Words?

My kids, family and friends are my inspiration. Rraising 2 boys has been a wonderful and challenging experience thus far and I've discovered a fun and creative way to pass on to them the importance of being polite and respectful to others.

When or at what age did you know you wanted to be a writer?

I wanted to write mainly for kids, I wasn't sure about the age as I don't want to box my writing in a certain age. Around the World and The Magic words are targeted for kids from ages 1-8 years of age.

What is the earliest age you remember reading your first book?

In first grade that's when I remember starting to read.

What genre of books do you enjoy reading?

I like fiction books and also spiritual/healing books

What is your favorite book?

Cien años de Soledad (One hundred years of solitude) by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

You know I think we all have a favorite author. Who is your favorite author and why?

Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I love the way he writes his stories, fiction and non-fiction. The way he describes each paragraph, it's like watching a movie.

If you could travel back in time here on earth to any place or time. Where would you go and why?

I would go to the time when the Aztecs and Mayans exited. They were warriors and very smart people for their time.

When writing a book do you find that writing comes easy for you or is it a difficult task?

It depends on the day and how I feel. Around the world took some time to write it vs. The Magic words it didn't take long. One night I sat down next to my computer and started writing it. I had the ideas and I just needed to put them together to make sense.

Do you have any little fuzzy friends? Like a dog or a cat? Or any pets?

I do have a poodle. Her name is apricot. We adopted her about 4 years ago. My kids love her and she's part of our family.

What is your "to die for", favorite food/foods to eat?

I love sushi, but Oysters are the one food I die for!

Do you have any advice for anyone that would like to be an author?

Keep writing, never give up and keep dreaming! It's not easy to get into this writing world, but after all your hard work, its well worth it!

Your Welcome. I did enjoy reading the books. It is good for adults to read children's books sometimes even though they have no children of their own. It is also good for adults to read children and teen books so that they will know what their children are reading. The same goes for listening to the same music as teens. Thanks for visiting BK.
