Review Tour + #Giveaway: Ghosting Academy by LS Delorme @LexyShawDelorme @GoddessFish

GHOSTING ACADEMY

LS Delorme

GENRE: Paranormal Psychological Thriller

BLURB:

It’s been years since Amelie abandoned her home to become an elite agent of the Academy.

In its embrace she has found support and stability, but in return the Academy uses her gifts for destruction and control. For ten years, she has chosen to live only for the moment, neither questioning nor considering the motives of her employer. But when Amelie and her pod of fellow agents, “graduate” into becoming strategic operatives, they are spirited off to an isolated island. Here they uncover a labyrinth of deception and lies far more sinister than any they ever imagined, including Verite, a new virtual reality game, in which time has no meaning and your blood holds the keys to your soul.

In the Ghosting Academy, consciousness is currency, morality is shackles and there is no death.

    Excerpt:

Amelie’s hand was snapping and unsnapping the holster of the gun that was strapped to the underside of the pristine white table. She was weighing the pros and cons of just shooting this girl in the head.

The pros were that it would shut the girl up, clear Amelie’s schedule for the day, and no one in the Academy would question it. In fact, she would bet good money that this girl wouldn’t make it through the interviewing process and would therefore end up dead anyway. She would be saving somebody else work. Plus, her bladder was cramping, and it would mean she could go back to the pod and get some pain meds.

The cons were that tiny shred of a conscience that she still had left after all her years at the Academy. The one that said, Is this girl really so different from who you were when you showed up here eighteen years ago?

It was this voice that always gave her pause. It hadn’t always prevented her from shooting someone early in the recruiting process, but sometimes it had. Of course, probably the real reason that she hadn’t shot Alt Girl yet was that there was another recruit sitting right next to her.

This one was a dark-haired, tanned boy of about sixteen. He had said almost nothing so far but had watched the whole process with a calm demeanor and unusually alert eyes. He might have a shot at getting through, and Amelie shouldn’t fuck that up for him.

My Review:

I was drawn to Ghosting Academy by its title and the fact that I had previously read its prequel, Bright Midnights. Ghosting Academy turned out to be somewhat different than I expected, but I have to say I enjoyed reading it just as much if not more than I did Bright Midnights.

I loved reading more about Amelie and learning more about her world, which is filled with demons, ghosts, viruses, and so much more. Ghosting Academy is sure to draw in any paranormal fantasy reader from the first page. The world-building is amazing.

Amelie with the help of her new friends fights demons while also trying to save some of their friends. Amelie has some very powerful abilities. She has been training to use her abilities with her assignments but sometimes they still seem to get the best of her.

Ghosting Academy is a very interesting and engaging story that will keep you hanging on page after page. I don’t think I have read anything quite like Ghosting Academy before. The suspense along with its many twists and turns kept the pages turning.

I highly recommend Ghosting Academy to all paranormal fantasy fans! Grab a copy today!

Thank you 🙏 so much for your review! 💕. I’m glad you liked it Ghosting Academy is boom 4 of 8 the Limerent series. The first 3 books, Caio, Bright Midnights and Fanning Fireflies can be read in any order, but you don’t really need to read all of them to read GA, just Bright Midnights. But as the series goes on you will see characters from these other books again 😊

This sounds like a gripping and intense read! The combination of paranormal elements, psychological intrigue, and a dystopian twist with the virtual reality game "Verite" is fascinating.
