16-Year-Old Subject Number Seventeen has been running, but
he doesn't know who he is running from. All he knows is that they have his
family, and he has to find some answers, or else he won't be running for very
much longer.
This is the first short story in "The Runners"
series by debut author, Logan Rutherford.
My Review:
Runner is a short story with a cliffhanger but I think that
is the author’s intent to keep you hanging on and wanting more. But that is
what makes a good book, one where you can’t wait to read the next one to find
out more about the characters and to draw you in for a great read.
Runner is about a guy that gets up one day and finds family
has been kidnapped and a note telling him to run and run he does. He runs and
runs and runs but he is doing it because how else is he to get his family back.
He knows there are some very bad men chasing him but he has
no clue as to what they want. His only choice is to do what they tell him to do
and that is to run. While he is running he meets another runner like himself
but this runner is a girl. Now they must run together.
I like runner because of the mystery and suspense along with
all the twist and turns it takes you on. Who is after this guy? Why did they kidnap
his family? What do they want from him? On to the next story Caught to find
out. See you there?
Come back tomorrow for another review in the “The Runners"
series, Caught Book #2.
