My Review:

Cale is back and he has finally made it to land and America! Yay Cale! But he still has a long, long journey ahead of him and he doesn’t know what lies ahead of him. The only thing that is keeping him alive is his own determination to get home to his wife, Lauren and his daughter, Marie wherever that may be (and his good friend Zack). Home is where the heart is as they say.

Cale has a lot of battles to face on his journey. Not only does he have to fight zombies and lifers but he also has other different battles to face. The kind where he has to reach deep inside of himself to heal and he is the only one that can fight this battle. Cale meets a lot of different assortment of lifers on his journey. Some are good but some are not so good. But Cale is a very smart man and knows how to play by the rules and abide his time until he can come up with a better plan.

Cale only has one thing on his mind and that is his wife and daughter and no lifer or zombie will stop him from getting what he wants. His love is stronger than any zombie or lifer. Cale maybe a soldier but he has a great big teddy bear heart. Which can get him into trouble at times but he always manages to find a way out.

I love reading about zombies and killing so the Z Plan series is my kind of book. I loved it from cover to cover and page to page. I loved Cale’s determination, strong will and his great big heart. I loved all the zombie killing. I love Cale’s big guns too. I am so sad to see Cale, Lauren and all the rest of the characters go. I feel as if I have lost a few great friends. I would love to know more about their lives.

Will Cale and Lauren be reunited? Will they find happiness again? Will it be in each other’s arms or someone else’s’? If you love a good zombie book with a little action among other things thrown in then you are going to love the Z Plan series and I would recommend that you start with book 1 Blood On The Sand and then go on to book 2 Red Tides so that you won’t be left behind and miss out on any of Cale’s journey or any amazing, mind blowing zombie killing and a great author’s writing. I can’t wait to read more of Mikhail’s books.

About The Author:
 photo MikhailLerma.jpg

Mikhail Lerma was raised in the small town of Holdrege Nebraska. In the third grade he wrote his first short story, in which the main character was a monkey. Not taking his career as a writer too seriously after that, he finished his high school years by joining the army when he was only 17. He spent 10 years in the army starting as a truck driver and eventually becoming a combat medic.

While deployed to Iraq in 2007 he spent missions in a turret as gunner. In his free time he began writing a story having nothing to do with monkeys. Only time will tell if this was a good career move. With encouragement from his friends and family he decided to start taking his writing seriously. Storytelling has become a passion of his, with a strong interest in horror and science fiction. He is currently going to school to become a paramedic, and finishing his first series for Permuted Press.

He lives in Iowa with his wife and three daughters. He does not have a pet, but if anyone would like to donate a male dog to level out the hormones in his house that would be much appreciated.
