My Review:
After the loss and tragedy at the prison and the war with
the governor in The Walking Dead, Compendium 1the remaining members of the
group has moved on and have found a new place to stay a place that hopefully
they can prop their feet up in for a long time to come.
Rick, Glenn, Maggie, Carl, Abraham, Eugene, Rosita are settling
in nicely at Alexandria. They are given their jobs to do according to what they
did before the Walkers took over the world. We meet some new people in
Alexandria like Arron, Erick, Health, Spencer, Holly and more.
Most of the people are very welcoming to Rick and his group
but of course there are some that think that Rick is just a smart a** and wants
to take over. They decide to take care of Rick and his group their selves without
talking it over with everyone. They plan on taking care of Rick and getting him
out of the way.
They don’t see that the changes Rick and his group are doing
for the community is the best thing for them and is to help keep everyone safer
and want no part of it. But while they are all occupied with Rick and are not
thinking about ways to make their community safer the like the fact that the
walls needing reinforcing. The zombies make a break in the wall and come
through but instead of giving up and letting the zombies take over as in the past
the groups decide to come together and fight the zombies instead of each other
so that they can keep their home and not let the zombies have it this time.
While Rick, Michonne and some of the others are out looking
for food and supplies they run into this guy who introduces himself and Jesus.
Now Jesus is one bada** dude who can fight zombies Bruce Lee style with his
hands tied behind his back. Jesus takes them back to his home at the Hilltop
and introduces them to Gregory. The people at the Hilltop want to make a deal
with the people at Alexandria. The people at Alexandria need food and the
people at the Hilltop, what do they need? Well there is this other group of
people that they have a deal with as well but their deal is not exactly by
choice. No this other group of people will kill them if they do not supply them
with half of everything they own. The leader of this other group is Negan. So
the folks at Hilltop want Rick and his group to fight for them or with them to
stop Negan in return they will give Rick food. They need the food so the deal
is made.
I love watching The Walking Dead on tv actually it is one of
the few programs that I watch and if the phone rings while I am watching it I
will not answer and everyone in my family has learned this by testing it out.
While I love anything and everything that has to do with zombies The Walking
Dead is my favorite and I really, really love reading the books but I do think
I love the tv show more because there are characters in the tv show that is not
in the book. I love watching and reading about zombie killings. I love all the
blood and gore. It thrills me to no end although I would not want any part of
killing ever but I do like watching and reading about it. As the saying goes The Walking Dead is the
best things since slice bread.
Do I recommend The Walking Dead (book or tv show)? Why yes
of course I do. It is out of this world amazing and I hope it never ends!
