Five
strangers. One cure. And a nightmare none of them saw
coming.
Audrey’s
done being a lab rat. Years of doctors, pills, and promises—and
still, her body’s a prison. So when an envelope shows up offering a
last-ditch shot at healing
her chronic pain,
she takes it. No questions asked.
What’s
the worst that could happen?
She’s
not the only one clinging to hope. Four others arrive at the remote
forest sanctuary, each battling their own private hell. The place is
quiet, peaceful. The results? Instant. Miraculous.
Too
good to be true? Of course it is.
Because
this cure doesn’t just fix what’s broken—it
feeds on it.
My Review:
Five strangers are chosen for a retreat deep in the woods in hopes of
finding a cure for their long-standing problems. They have tried
numerous methods to help them heal, but so far, nothing has
worked.
When they receive an invitation to the retreat,
they don’t hesitate to accept. After all, they are willing to try
anything that might help them live better lives and be free from
their troubles. However, that is until the treatment begins, and then
it may be a different story.
Is this place safe? Is it
everything the letter promised it would be? Is this program truly
capable of providing the assistance they seek? What did they really
promise in return for a cure? How far would you be willing to go for
a remedy? What are you willing to give or sacrifice for a solution to
your problems? Who are these people who claim to have a cure?
I
was hooked on The Remedy the moment I read that first page. It drew
me deep into its world from the start and kept me in suspense, racing
to the end, wondering what was happening until the final page.
The
many twists and turns kept the story flowing and captivated me. Just
when I thought I had it all figured out, bam—another shockingly
surprising twist was thrown my way, bringing me back down to earth
and leaving me wondering what was truly happening.
I have
read many of Shade’s books and intend to read more. Once I start
one of Shade’s books, I am hooked immediately. I don’t even need
to read the summary anymore to know that I want to read one of her
works. I eagerly await her next release.
I highly
recommend The Remedy to all thriller enthusiasts! Grab a copy of The
