If they knew how it felt—really being shy, not just unsure at first—they wouldn’t smile. Not if they knew how the feeling knots up your stomach or makes your palms sweat or robs you of the ability to say anything that makes sense. It’s not cute at all.”
I know exactly what this quote is saying because I am very shy. As the saying goes "been there done that" well I have been there done that. I have the exact same feelings when I am in a group of people and trying to talk. Most of the time I never say anything. I mean by the time I get up the nerve to say what I want to say the conversation has already changed and it is to late then.
