Blog A Quote #9

Blog A Quote is weekly meme hosted by Michelle Chew Writes. Each week we will be sharing a quote from our favorite books. For more info and to sign up visit Michelle Chew Writes.

My quote for this week is from Staying Human By Kyle Tobin

A child sees into the heart and soul of adults, breaking down the barriers of pretense that we hedge up around ourselves. They don't get caught up in the facade we shell our life with to appease others or to hide our secrets. Children see us as we are, in our simplest, truest form. They don't see each individual decision we make and try to formulate an in depth view of us, they just feel who we are at our core.

And if a child can see us at our most basic persona...and love that core; that truth deep inside that we often cover; then that is something special.

I love this quote because it confirms my belief that babies know us by our energy the positive as well as the negative.

Aww... This made me wish I'm still a child... Things were definitely much easier then.

Thanks for sharing! :)
