MY REVIEW

BOUND

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I downloaded Bound as a free download from Amazon.

Bound is the second book in the Nevermore Trilogy and as other reviewers has said Bound picks up right where Sundered left off. Mira and Sebastian are in a secret army facility. Mira's friend Scout who is a nevermore is still hanging around. Scout thinks that Mara is one of his pack leaders because Sebastian and Mara are mates. He thinks that he has to follower her orders just like he does if it was Sebastian himself giving the order. The nevermores run in packs like wolves do.

Mara is still trying to save the life of her unborn child and that of her husband Sebastian. Sebastian and other nevermores are being kept locked up at the army tacitly. The leaders of this army base are working on a cure for the nevermore disease and believe they are close to finding it. Mara bids her time and doing what she is told to do while she is being held prisoner at the compound the same as the nevermores. She tries to do what she thinks they want her to do until she can figure out a way to get her and Sebastian out of there. While at the same time she wants to get her hands on this cure so that she can get the love of her life and the father of her unborn child back.

Sundered and Bound are very great reads. I really loved the twist that Shannon Mayer gave to the zombies. I also loved how that Sebastian still knew Mara and knew that she was his wife. That is one imagination to come up with a zombie having any feelings at all much less remembering the one person that he loved before he was turned into a zombie. Image having a relationship like that. That would be the ultimate kind of love where someone loved you that much.
