Book Blitz + #Giveaway: Hunter by Skylar Heart @SkylarHeartAuth @XpressoTours

Hunter
Skylar Heart
Publication date: September 22nd 2016
Genres: New Adult, Romance

LIZZY

I should have known he was trouble when I watched him drive his motorbike onto campus, leaving a trail of people whispering as he made his way into the Art Building.

Word around here is, he doesn’t date. So why do his eyes keep roving over me? Why does he want to talk to me?

Rumor has it, Hunter’s good at two things: making art, and getting into fights. I love art, but I can’t stand violence. I’ve been on the receiving end of it too many times.

My life is simple, it needs to be if I want to graduate and keep my eating disorder at bay… I sleep, I eat, I go to class and I definitely Do. Not. Date.

So why do I want him to hold me in his strong arms and cradle me to his broad chest?

HUNTER

She’s like a spooked little mouse. Not my type at all. Until she looked up at me and I was caught in her azure eyes.

But I won’t let her get close. In the last four years, I’ve lost everyone I’ve ever loved. I will never trust anyone ever again. The second I do, I’ll find myself alone again. So, what’s the use?

So I create big metal installations, I go to class when I feel like it, I drink and get into fights at the bar.

I have to stay away from Lizzy, because my darkness will only make hers worse. I know I have to, but that isn’t what my heart wants. When I see the pain in her eyes, I can’t resist her. I want to help her, touch her…

Own her.

EXCERPT:

Just a couple of feet away there is a man on a horse, like a prince out of a fairytale, only the horse is a dull brown and the man doesn’t look very prince-like. He looks like he might be in pain as he moves slowly. His broad back bulges under a tight T-shirt and his legs look like steel in the leather pants.
He hasn’t realized I’m here yet, and I don’t really feel like talking to people today, so I retreat back into the clearing.
A stick snaps under my heel and both horse and rider turn to me abruptly. It takes me not even a second before I recognize the rider. Hunter. He may not be Prince Charming, but he definitely is a Prince of Darkness. There are bruises on his face and I now also see them on his arms. He looks… broken. I freeze in my spot, not daring to move, too scared to set him off. If he looks like that, I don’t want to end up on the other side of his fists.
Hunter slowly gets off his horse, letting out a hiss as he lowers himself to the ground. Only when he is standing right in front of me does he say something. “Lizzy.” His voice is rough, quiet, then he reaches up, almost touching me.
That finally breaks me out of my trance and I step back, shaking my head.
A smile tugs at his lips, but then he looks me over and I see the clouds gather in his stormy eyes. Fuck. “What are you doing here?” he asks.
What? Out of everything, that is what he wants to know? “It’s the weekend, there is a lovely sun out. What else am I supposed to be doing?”
The question seems to surprise him. He shrugs and lets out a sigh. “No clue.”
We both fall quiet. I can’t help but stare at the bruises. They look so dark, and so painful.
Hunter reaches out, takes my hand, and puts it on his jaw. I want to pull back, but he holds it there. “I’m not scary, or dangerous.” His low voice is pitched even lower and something stirs inside me.
He is though—he is scary, and apparently quite dangerous to someone, if the bruises are anything to go by. But I know that isn’t what he means. He means that he is no danger to me. And I don’t know how I feel about that… “And yet you are.” I quickly close my mouth and look away. He finally lets go of my hand as he lets out a laugh.
“I just make stupid choices sometimes, usually when I’ve had a bit to drink.” He steps back and reaches out to the horse, who pushes against him slightly.

To save her, he must let go of everything he ever believed.

Upon returning to her hometown for her grandmother’s funeral, Sage Matthews is terrorized by a series of strange events. Detective Sergeant Ethan Blade comes to Cryton, South Australia, to catch a serial killer. When Ethan meets Sage—the latest victim’s beautiful granddaughter—his attraction to her is explosive and inconvenient. He knows she’s not crazy, but Sage’s theory about the murders is unbelievable.

With the handsome detective rejecting her ideas, Sage embarks on the supernatural journey that her grandmother started. What she discovers shatters everything Sage ever knew about herself—and who she really is.

Excerpt:

“Stop!” Frustration swirled behind Sage’s eyes, turning them a vivid green as she stepped forward and pushed Ethan hard in the chest. He instinctively caught her wrists and held them. Her breathing was labored, and he was painfully aware of how close they were. His jeans tightened inconveniently.
“Don’t you dare talk down to me, Ethan. I haven’t had anything put in my head. That is a condescending, arrogant comment, and totally uncalled for.” She made a half-hearted attempt to yank her hands away. His grip on her wrists wasn’t that tight, but he was much stronger than she was. Her chest rose and fell deeply, and her eyes darkened as they scanned his face. Their bodies were almost touching.
She sounded a little breathless. “You don’t know, Ethan. You can’t know, because you weren’t there. I was there. Mark, Pia, Ryan, and Joe were there. Let me tell you uncategorically, that everything that I have seen, and everything I have experienced, I did with my own eyes, my own ears, and my own mind. I don’t doubt it because four other people will corroborate what happened too. That is not to mention Nan and Ada. If you refute that evidence, then it is you who is the fool. Not me.”
He may have been angry enough to take a cheap shot at the credibility of Mark’s team, but he wouldn’t insult her grandmother.
“I know you’re not a fool,” he said instead. She was smart but tough, a little too feisty, but intriguing. Soft, feminine, stimulating, sexy... It was hard to keep his thoughts focused when her soft, warm body was so temptingly close.
“Mark said—”
“Stay away from Collins.” His voice was a low rumble. In his heightened state of arousal, the mention of that crackpot’s name sparked an intense rush of jealousy. Mark said. He didn’t give a flying fuck about what Collins said. And he didn’t want her thinking about him when it was Ethan’s hands that were on her.
“Why?” Her tone was a challenge, her heavy-lidded eyes a silent plea. A contradiction that made him desperate to kiss her and put a stop to this frustrating conversation.
“Because I don’t like the way he looks at you.” He hadn’t meant to be so honest.
“Oh, come on,” she scoffed. She licked her lips and he felt her pulse racing beneath his fingertips. “Let me go,” she whispered.
He didn’t believe she wanted that. “No. Not until we’ve talked about this.”
“I won’t talk until you let me go.”
Ooh, a challenge. He held onto her for a moment too long, then released his grip, his lips twitching with the urge to smile. “Talk.”
Her eyes were shining, her cheeks stained pink. A tiny vein on the side of her neck pulsed. How he’d love to flick his tongue along it.
“Okay, then. Tell me why you don’t like Mark. And don’t give me any crap about how he looks at me.”
“I don’t trust him,” he answered easily. “Next question?”
“Oh no you don’t.” She stabbed a finger into his chest. “Why don’t you trust Mark?”
“Why?” What the fuck? People didn’t ask him “why.” When he spoke, people took him at his word. “I just don’t.”
“What have you based that expert opinion on? Where’s your evidence?” she pressed.
“My evidence? I don’t need any. I’ve got gut instinct.”
“Ooh.” Her eyes sparkled as she went in for the kill. “And why are you allowed to make a judgment not based on fact, and nobody else is, hmm?”
“You’ve got to be kidding. The difference is I’m not talking about a fucking ghost, that’s what.” Heat filled his body. He wanted to touch her so badly, to grab her by the shoulders and kiss her senseless. His hands opened and closed at his sides.
“You don’t believe in ghosts because you can’t see them.”
“That’s right.”
“Well, I can’t see your gut instinct, so I don’t believe in it.” She raised her chin and waved a hand in dismissal. Every time she inhaled, he could make out the hard peaks of her nipples through the sheer fabric. She placed her hands on her hips, making those two points of temptation even more prominent. He groaned.
“Mark is coming back tomorrow and—”
Gripping her shoulders, he pulled her hard against his body and crushed his lips to hers. She made a soft mewling noise before opening her mouth. The instant his tongue touched hers, it was like pulling the pin on a hand grenade. He dove into her sweet mouth, tasting her, learning her. The heated scent of desire swirled between them, and they breathed each other in.
She kissed him back with an intensity that matched his own. Her hands locked tight around his neck, fingers tangling in his hair. She smelled fresh, like the crisp air after a summer storm, and as she melded her soft, lush curves into him, she rubbed against his hard cock. It was painful pleasure, exquisite torture.
That rubbing sent him into a frenzy of need, which he then ruthlessly leashed. He didn’t want to scare her. His desire sure as hell scared him. He attempted to slow the pace, but her hands that had been clawing at his back were now on his chest, and heading south.
She reached between his legs and cupped him through his jeans. He palmed her breast, discovering it to be heavier than he had remembered. Round, firm, and more than a handful. Her nipple was a hard pebble underneath his thumb.
She broke the kiss, his name falling from her lips in a ragged sigh. Her skin was flushed, her green eyes sparkling.
“I want you,” she said, squeezing him through his jeans and shattering his control. “Now.”
“Oh, sweet Jesus, Sage.”
Bending his head, he flicked his tongue along the long column of her neck, and she cried out, desperately panting. He was going to find each and every one of her erogenous zones and tease and explore them mercilessly.
He took her mouth again, hard and urgent, and walked her forward, until her back was flush against the wall near the stairs. Eying the rise and fall of her chest, he ripped that teasing, flimsy shirt apart, buttons skittering across the floor. Her pretty bra, so sheer that he could see her rose-colored nipples clearly, looked so damned sweet and sexy that he left it on. For now.

Book Blitz + #Giveaway: Sucker Punched by Kelley R. Martin @kelleyrmartin @XpressoTours

Sucker Punched
Kelley R. Martin
(Knockout Love #2)
Publication date: September 27th 2016
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

From New York Times bestselling author Kelley R. Martin, comes a sexy new standalone in the Knockout Love series.

“Macy Dunham” is synonymous with “off-limits.” Not only is she practically a virgin, but she’s a walking, talking angel who’s way too good for a devil like me. She’s straight-up beautiful, and so far out of my league I want to cry. Did I mention she’s also the godmother to my future niece or nephew?

Now I have to play nice with “Aunt Macy” for the next 18 years. There’s just one tiny problem—the first night I met her, I played with her a little too nice.

Macy was only supposed to be a hook-up. I was supposed to show her a night she’d never forget—give her a little taste of what it’s like to be bad—and then send her on her way. She wasn’t supposed to stick around, and she damn sure wasn’t supposed to become my best friend.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to pretend like I don’t know how soft her skin feels, how good her lips taste, or how perfect it feels inside her? It’s torture. I’d give my left nut for another chance to sink inside Macy, but I can’t afford to mess this up and that’s exactly what would happen.

It’s too bad “Blake Whitmore” is synonymous with “screw-up.” Macy’s a sweet girl who deserves an epic love story. She deserves romance, and a knight in shining armor who slays dragons. I’m not the knight in this story.

I’m the fucking dragon.

Book Blitz + #Giveaway: The Secret Lives of Rockstars by Suzanne Lazear @suzannelazear @yaboundtourspr

Book Blitz + #Giveaway: Ky by Irish Winters @irishwinters1 @XpressoTours

Ky
Irish Winters
(In the Company of Snipers #13)
Publication date: September 27th 2016
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense

TEAM Agent Ky Winchester survived a brutal encounter with a Taliban madman only because of a woman with green eyes, an angel he thought he’d dreamed in the depths of torment. She came to him in that far off torture chamber, cloaked in the tender magic of hope, and because of her, he was willing to believe he might survive his nightmare. It’s too bad he never thought to ask her name. Too bad he’ll spend the rest of his days searching for her.
Whoever she is…

FBI Agent Eden Stark is the Bureau’s number one and very top-secret psychic asset. While running from a different kind of madman, this one intent on mechanizing America’s military, turning them into controllable drones, Eden’s plane goes down in the frigid Canadian north. It’s very probable she won’t survive the night. Two meched-up FBI agents are already tracking her. Maybe wolves.
Maybe someone else.

More about the In the Company of Snipers Series, from the Author:

This series revolves around ex-Marine scout sniper, Alex Stewart, and his covert surveillance company, The TEAM, home-based out of Alexandria, Virginia. An obsessive patriot and workaholic, he created the company to give ex-military snipers like him a chance at returning to civilian life, a chance at normal, with a decent job.
This is not a serial with each book ending at a cliffhanger. I wouldn’t do that to you. I hate cliffhangers! In the Company of Snipers is a collection of passionate love stories involving strong men and women who are tough enough to take on the world alone. Each is a stand-alone read, complete in itself.
Spoiler alert: Every story contains adult scenes including sexual situations (some explicit), language, and violence. I don’t write sweet romance, so be forewarned.
Book 1, ALEX, reveals how The TEAM came to be, as well as how Alex met Kelsey, how they fell in love and fought all odds to stay together. Each of the following books is a complete romance in itself where, in the course of an active TEAM operation, one agent comes face to face with his or her demons. The men and women I write about are all patriots and warriors, dealing with what they’ve lived through or the mistakes they’ve made.
It’s my hope that you’ll come to realize, along with my heroes, that Love Changes Everything…

EXCERPT:

The cold solved her perspiration problem. She shivered, but didn’t stop struggling with each step.
Still pulling. Still—argh. My arms are killing me. “I. Can. Do. This!”
Her voice sounded shrill and slightly hysterical in the whisper of the quiet pines. So be it. She’d been slightly hysterical before. Certain times required hysteria, maybe dementia. Maybe even outright crazy, the way this day had gone. Surely the day you fell out of the sky demanded a scream at all the crazy gods who let it happen, right?
But screaming would only burn energy she couldn’t afford to waste, and she knew better. Besides, it reminded her of the day her father had left. Make that, deserted. She’d screamed plenty when that happened, her heart torn out of her at Drake Franklin’s ultimate betrayal to his child. What good had screaming, ‘Daddy. Don’t go. Daddy, please. Don’t leave me!’ done?
Nothing. Drake Franklin hadn’t even looked back—just said he’d had enough of all the bullshit and walked out of her life. Left Casey Franklin and her seven-year-old daughter, Eden, without a car or a dollar to their names.
Eden grew up fast, believing every word her mother taught her. Who wouldn’t believe the woman who worked her heart out to support her child? The wise woman who taught her: Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Never give up. Work your heart out and your heart will steer you true. Stuff like: I do believe. I do believe. I do. I do. I do.
Young Eden became a positive-thinker out of necessity—a glass is half-full kind of a girl. She believed in the inherent goodness of people. It worked until the day an illegal immigrant had broadsided her mother’s rattletrap of a twenty-year-old Honda Prelude in rush-hour traffic in the middle of Podunk Boise, Idaho, and left her dead at the scene. How a guy with no insurance and no driver’s license got released from jail on his own recognizance in time to flee south of the border made no sense to a fifteen-year-old girl without a friend or a relative in
the world.
One of her mother’s girlfriends took her in. Eden legally rejected her father when he didn’t step forward to claim her. She assumed her mother’s maiden name, Stark. Life went on.
But nothing had hurt as bad as standing alone at Casey’s grave telling her mother goodbye for the last time. Unless you factored in Eden’s dumb-butt, seventeen-year-old boyfriend, Stan’s, betrayal with that hooker waitress at Denny’s the day after the funeral. Stan claimed he only hooked up with her because he was lonely. The ass didn’t have a clue what lonely was. The one day that Eden could’ve used a real friend, all she got was another rude awakening. Guys lie. Guys cheat. Guys only think about themselves and that puny, little thing dangling between their legs.
“I sure know how to pick ’em,” she told the bundle sliding quietly along behind her.
Night threatened in black and blue shadows at the edge of the sky she could no longer see. Too many tall, bushy trees obstructed her view. Pines, every last one of them. She used to love the lacy, elegant Noble pines when decorated with snow and glistening icicles the way these were. Pines always reminded her of tinsel and Christmas, one of the few good holidays left in the world. Not anymore. These Nutcracker Suite bad boys just might be the death of her, which could be a good thing in the long run. Freezing to death seemed a better way to go than a double tap to the cranium, her brains spilled out for the wildlife to sample. An Eden buffet. Hmmm.
She blew out a deep breath of frosty air and staggered on. Even gliding over snow-covered ground, her load was a heavy one. Ten feet to go. Then five. Then I can rest and maybe this headache will stop.
At last Eden dropped to her knees, sure she’d done the best she could. This was the only bare patch of earth within dragging distance, sheltered beneath the fanlike branches of a densely
packed stand of evergreens. It almost seemed serene, this spot. Serene and surreal. A little reverent. Sacred even. But mostly— diggable, if that was even a word.
Yes. It would do. A single shaft of the weak winter sunlight fell across her snow-dusted boots. A brave little bird flitted in the chilly branches overhead, but it didn’t sing. Didn’t even chirp. What the heck did birds have to sing about in the frozen north?
She took a moment to catch her breath, but ended the break before her limbs had the chance to seize from exhaustion or her backside from the cold. This next chore would be harder. She still had to bury the body.

Author Bio:
Irish Winters is an award-winning author who dabbles in poetry, grandchildren, and rarely (as in extremely rarely) the kitchen. More prone to be outdoors than in, she grew up the quintessential tomboy on a farm in rural Wisconsin, spent her teenage years in the Pacific Northwest, but calls the Wasatch Mountains of Northern Utah home. For now.
The wife of one handsome husband and the mother of three perfect sons, Irish divides her time between writing at home and travelling the country with her man while - writing. (Seriously, what else?)
She believes in making every day count for something and follows the wise admonition of her mother to, "Look out the window and see something!"

EXCERPT:

The last time I saw Sam was four and a half years ago at the qualifiers for the National Debate Tournament. He was from a neighboring school and I’d seen him since freshman year at different speech tournaments, every Saturday, from the end of October through March with few exceptions. I had a sense of who he was from the start. He was Lincoln-Douglas debate all the way, baby. Smart, determined, and turning from a silent geek into one hell of a hot guy by the time we were seniors.
The funny part was he didn’t know it.
The awesome part was that was what drew me to him.
He wasn’t awkward, like the other guys. Sam was so self-contained and knew himself so deeply that he didn’t need to talk about it, show off, or prove his manhood. Talking to Sam could be torture. Catching him in the halls, in the cafeteria with his group from his high school, and me with my group from their rival, we intersected enough to hang out. Over ice cream bars and the occasional cup of coffee by our senior year, there was an accumulation of just enough conversations for me to decide that I wasn’t crazy and that there was a spark of interest there.
What happened to confirm that was burned into my brain, the second strongest memory of my life.
I lost one of the most intense debates of my career two weeks before qualifiers, and Sam found me in a corner of the enormous high school auditorium. I was trying to cry quietly, and mostly not succeeding. He just found me—that’s all. He didn’t lord over the fact that he placed first in the tournament that day, to my third. He didn’t try to say all the right words that everyone thought were kind, and considerate, and comforting, and helpful.
He didn’t stumble or say “I’m sorry.” He just walked up and stopped a few feet away from me, his brow lowering with a frown of recognition, and then did something so perfect it makes me ache to this day. Decisively, step by step, he closed the gap and just put his arms around me.
Tucked my cheek into his chest and wound one arm around my waist, the other around my shoulders, rested his head on my hair, and held me.
I would give anything to go back to that moment in the auditorium, with its cracked wood seats and its shabby, threadbare carpet, its smell of lemony bleach, to feel again how Sam filled all my senses. My ear against the wool of his suit, his arms wrapped around me like a cocoon of understanding. His aftershave, the rasp of his cheek against my ear. Sam created a world for me in that one moment, a safe world where I could cry. A world where I fell in love.
What I didn’t know then was that two weeks later at the national qualifier tournament, I would dismantle that world, atom by atom, molecule by molecule, completely unaware that I was doing it at the time.

Blog Tour + Review + #Giveaway: The Shattered Seam by Kathleen Groger @KathleenGroger @XpressoTours

The Shattered Seam
Kathleen Groger
(Seam Stalkers, #1)
Publication date: September 13th 2016
Genres: Horror, Paranormal, Young Adult

Spending spring break on an isolated island rumored to be haunted is not sixteen-year-old Sam’s idea of fun. Spending spring break with her uncle and his ghost-hunting film crew on an isolated island is even worse.

Way worse.

Her family’s secrets—and a genetic ability she can no longer deny—surface, along with the ghost of a rich serial killer who left behind a trail of trapped souls.

And he’s not through yet.

With only one chance for escape, Sam must embrace her family’s curse and close the Seam between the living and the dead. Or be lost, forever.

My Review:

Its spring break and Sam has to spend it with her uncle and his film crew on an isolated island in a haunted house. She usually spends it at her Nana’s but her Nana passed away recently. Nana was her best friend someone she felt comfortable with. Sam has a hard time feeling comfortable and fitting in anywhere else.

Sam is dreading being alone with all these people in a haunted house and with the island being isolated not because she is afraid of ghost but because she is afraid her craziness will come out and she doesn’t want her uncle thinking she is crazy nor does she want the whole world to know if something happens and it is caught on film maybe she can get her uncle to edit the film if anything crazy happens that is.

Sam has secret ability that she knows nothing about. I mean she doesn’t know that it is an ability she thinks she is crazy as do her parents. Sam is afraid that being in a haunted house will cause her ability to come out and that is the last thing she wants. But with her uncle and his crew there to do their job to prove or disapprove that the house is truly haunted or not just may cause her ability to be known and they will think she is really crazy and lock her up again.

I don’t read too many books about haunted houses but I do love movies about ghost and haunted houses and I love reading Kathleen Groger’s books and when I read the summary or maybe even before I knew I had to read The Shattered Seam. I was not disappointed in anyway. I would like to suggest The Shattered Seam to anyone who loves a good story written by a great writer. I can’t wait to start the next book The Silencing Seam. I can’t wait to find out more about Kyle and Sam. What will their next adventure (or haunting) be?

But the deeper they dig, the more convoluted the case becomes. Now they need to figure out if this was a random shooting as part of a gang initiation, a straight-up hate crime, or a targeted kill.   ABOUT THE DETECTIVE MADISON KNIGHT SERIES

Murder. Investigation. The pursuit of justice. Do you love trying to figure out whodunit? How about investigating alongside police detectives from the crime scene to the forensics lab and everywhere in between? Do you love a strong female lead? Then I invite you to meet Detective Madison Knight as she solves murders with her male partner, utilizing good old-fashioned investigative work aided by modern technology.

This is the perfect book series for fans of Law & Order, CSI, Blue Bloods, Rizzoli & Isles, Women’s Murder Club, and Hawaii Five-O

Read in any order or follow the series from the beginning: Ties That Bind, Justified, Sacrifice, Found Innocent, Just Cause, Deadly Impulse, In the Line of Duty, Life Sentence (Bonus Prequel).

Excerpt from In the Line of Duty, Chapter 4:

A life of sacrifice to the higher good was what Madison had signed up for. She’d defend the innocent and protect and serve if it took her life to do so, and she’d do it despite the way the media painted things to make officers look like the bad guys more often than not. They applied too much use of force to a situation, or they shot someone who wasn’t armed. Meanwhile, it wasn’t disclosed that the officer approached a subject in the dark of night and the subject was holding a bicycle pump extended in the fashion of a gun. The officer had to make a split-second decision that, if it had been a loaded gun, the officer or his backup would have been shot.

And rarely did the news share the stories of courage and bravery—how the actions of officers saved lives and put criminals behind bars. They never reported about the officers who resuscitated a woman who was clinically dead, saving her life while waiting on the local paramedics to show up. No—law enforcement always fell under the microscope of scrutiny and judgment, and yet she and her brothers put their lives on the line every day because it was what many of them believed they were born to do. Of course, there were some who viewed the job as simply that, but not her. Donning her badge wasn’t something she gave thought or consideration to each morning. It wasn’t an option. It was the same as putting on a pair of pants or brushing her teeth.

You’ve reached the end of the excerpt, but In the Line of Duty is available in e-book, paperback, and hardcover from popular retailers.

For the Love of Police

Police officers and departments are especially hot topics right now, whether it be in regards to police brutality or the use of excessive force. It seems there is a clear

line between people who respect them and people who despise them. But how does that choice come to be?
We all make decisions based on information that comes our way, but what if everything we read in the media about police taking harsh action isn’t correct? What if these articles are missing key intel? Unless we were in an officer’s shoes, how can we really know what transpired?

All of us have played—or at least are familiar with—the telephone game. In this, it’s easy to see how a message changes as it moves down the line. The same, too, I would suspect, is the case when it comes to reporting. But that’s only one way that information can get garbled, making it uncertain and difficult to claim as truth. Reports are also often colored by the viewpoint of a source. If that source is prejudiced against the police, it will immediately taint his or her reaction to a situation; before knowing any facts, the police will be cast in an unfavorable light.

I’m not saying that police always make the right decisions; they are human, after all. There are even some corrupt cops. However, I feel that people need to appreciate that unless they are there, in the moment, there’s no way of truly knowing why a certain course of action was taken.

As a result of my own respect for law enforcement, I have dedicated In the Line of Duty to all the fine men and women who serve or have served, and in memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. While most of us would run from gunfire, they run toward it. That right there is enough to warrant my respect. Just imagine what the world would be like without police. In two words, utter chaos.
