What will you do when
they come for your children?
The world has turned inward, away from the sun, in the wake
of a mysterious disease that has altered the human race. No longer able to bear
healthy human children, our mothers and daughters have brought vampire-like
hybrids into the world, and with it a new order. Now that reproduction has been
banned, those left with young children face a terrible and devastating decision
- turn your babies over to the government or pay the price. For young Freya,
keeping her brother hidden is the only real option.
Enemies of the state, Freya must stand between her family
and the forces of a fearful world. Although her brother may not be human, there
is little else separating her and those of the blue skin.
Choices will be made. Lines will be drawn. The battle for
humanity has only just begun.
BLUE SKIN is the first
book in a 5 part vampire dystopian, thriller horror series.

My Review Blue Skin Book One:
A virus is spreading fast through the human race. Babies are
being born with blue skin, the sun burns them, they don’t drink milk like
normal babies no they drink blood and they grow really fast. The government has
put a ban on reproduction and anyone who gives birth to a blue skin vampire baby
must turn it over to the government or pay the price.
Seventeen year old Freya learns that her mother is pregnant
again. With all the miscarriages her mother has had Freya assumes that this
pregnancy will be no different. Freya’s mother reveals that she is four weeks
pregnant imagine Freya’s surprise when her mother gives birth at only eight
weeks into the pregnancy.
When the baby comes out all blue and feeding off his mother
Freya wants to call 911 but her mother want let her. This starts Freya down a
long road of taking care of her brother and keeping him hidden from the world.
Blue Skin is a new take on vampires one in which I enjoyed tremendously
and can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series. Where did the virus
come from? How is it spread? I love vampires and dystopian worlds so imagine my
excitement when I found Blue Skin with a combination of the two. I could wait
to sink my teeth into it.
Blue Skin is a nice little introduction into the world of
the blue vampires. It has suspense, mystery, blood, gore and a world that may
be headed into an apocalypse.
I highly recommend Blue Skin to all fans of dystopian,
vampires with a touch of suspense.

My Review Blue Skin Book Two:
Blue Skin Book Two picks up where Blue Skin Book One left
off with Freya taking care of her brother Ben who was born a blue skin vampire.
If the government finds out that Freya is hiding a vampire then she would be
arrested but Freya only wants to keep her brother safe. She works at a job that
just barely pays the rent in the rundown apartment they live in.
Freya comes home one night to find Ben missing so she has no
choice but to go looking for him. She knows what he is doing. Ben has gone to
feed. Freya has warned him on many occasions about going out and what will
happen if he is caught but he just won’t listen I guess the hunger is to
powerful for him to control.
When Freya finds Ben he is being attacked by some people who
live in their part of town. Freya tries her best to make them stop to leave Ben
alone but they want listen to her. They think all vampires are bad besides what
will the government do to them if they find out. Who would be the one getting
in trouble if the police are called Ben’s attackers or Freya?
Ben and Freya get lucky a man and woman, Wesley and Katrina find
them and stop their attackers from killing them. They take Ben and Freya back
to their home; the farm where there are high fences to keep out vampires or is
it to keep someone in?
Things at the farm
are not what they seem to be at first. When the secrets start to come out Ben
and Freya just may be in a world of trouble with no way out. They were
betrayed. They were told that the farm was a safe place but is it? Can they
escape with their lives? Or will this be the end of the road for this brother
and sister?
Blue Skin Book Two like the first book is a fast read that
grabs you from the first page and doesn’t seem to want to let go. It will pull
you in to the world of the blue skin vampires. It is a very enthralling and
intense read that will keep you hanging on for more.
If you like vampire books with a new kind of vampire then
you are definitely going to love Blue Skin Book Two but I do suggest that read
Blue Skin Book One first. The Blue Skin books need to be read in order.

My Review Blue Skin Book Three:
Freya’s blue skin vampire brother has been taken by the HCA to
their labs to experiment on him. They are keeping him locked up behind bars.
Freya must find a way to infiltrate the labs to save her brother.
With the high security surrounding the place she needs a
good plan or maybe a little help. How is she going to get inside the walls of
the lab? How will she ever get Ben out?
There is more waiting for Freya inside the walls than she
ever imagined. Monsters lurk behind the walls of the lab and they are not all
vampires.
Secrets are revealed about Freya and her past in Blue Skin
Book Three. Some questions they have been on the tip of everyone’s tough who
has read Blue Skin Book One and Blue Skin Book Two are being answered in Blue
Skin Book Three but in the end they are still more and more questions left to
be answered.
Blue Skin is a world filled with blue skin vampires whose
numbers are growing and is heading the world to an apocalypse future with maybe
the extinction of the human race as we know it.
I would recommend Blue Skin Book Three to anyone who loves a
good vampire novel set in a dystopian society. Blue Skin touches on almost all
of my favorite genres all rolled into one. I can’t wait to see where the next
book in the series takes us what journeys the characters have for us.
