Parting Worlds
Once
Upon a Curse Book 4
by Kaitlyn Davis
Blurb:
**A USA Today
Recommended Series!**
She'll risk it all to
be with the man she loves… Don't miss PARTING WORLDS, a fantasy romance from
bestselling author Kaitlyn Davis that reimagines the classic fairy tale of The Little Mermaid.
"I know humans
like to start these sorts of stories with 'once upon a time,' but I'm worried
that's setting the stage for false hopes. Because we don't all live, and we
aren't all happy. Not every curse can be broken, after all."
Humans
are dangerous. That's the lesson faeries are taught as soon as their flower
petals unfurl, welcoming them into the world. It's the first thing Aerewyn
remembers the priestesses telling her as a young girl. Humans are dangerous—don't show them your magic and never cross into
their lands.
Why
then, when she stumbles upon a human boy in the woods, does she find him so
intriguing?
His
blue eyes don't shine with malice. His smile doesn't menace. His laughter is as
warm as the sun against her cheeks. And when she later discovers he's been
knocked unconscious in a storm, injured and alone in the forest, the only thing
he seems in danger of is dying.
So
she saves his life—a single act that will change the fate of both their worlds…
*This is the fourth
book in Once Upon a Curse, a series of interconnected stand-alone novels all
set in the same fantasy universe.

Parting Worlds:
Excerpt from Parting Worlds:
"Is this real?" a deep voice
whispers.
I go still.
The hound, on the other hand, barks and
spins, uncontrollably happy as his bum wriggles excitedly in my face. He
presses his front paws against his owner's chest and leans over his face,
licking and barking away.
"Okay, okay," Erick whispers
joyfully as he pushes the hound away and sits up. His gaze slides to me while
he absently scratches the dog's ears. He blinks and shakes his head a little, as
though he doesn't quite believe what he's seeing, yet at the same time can't
look away.
I don't know what to say.
I'm not used to not knowing what to say.
Instead, I reach up and twirl my crimson hair
into a spiral that cascades over my shoulder, cursing myself for not thinking
to dry it before he woke up. I must look a mess. Though the way he's staring
sort of makes me feel beautiful regardless.
I pull my lips into my mouth to hide my
smile.
"Is
this real?" he asks again. "Or am I stuck in a dream?"
"That depends," I tease lightly.
His eyes widen at the sound of my voice. "Do you want this to be real? If
not, simply close your eyes and I can vanish like a spirit in the night."
"No, don't," he answers quickly,
reaching out his hand. He stops short of touching me as though worried I'm
nothing more than a vision. "Please stay."
"Okay." I smile and shrug. "I
guess I'm real then."
My Review of Parting Worlds:
Aerewyn has been told all her life how bad humans were, how
dangerous they were, never to trust to them ever but most of all never ever
cross over into their world. But Aerewyn like any young girl when she is told
not to do something is then very curious and must see for herself if what she
has been told since she was a little girl is true or not.
Aerewyn talks her sister Nymia, against her better judgement
of course into cross over into the human world to investigate things a little
further on her own. Aerewyn is a very inquisitive little girl and needs answers
of her own not someone else’s. So Aerewyn and Nymia cross worlds and end up the
human world and while they are there Aerewyn meets a boy a human boy that is
unlike other humans. He is not malicious or dangerous no he is kind and a very
beautiful person inside and out.
Aerewyn and Nymia’s venture into the human world just may
cause Aerewyn more than she is willing to pay or give up if they are caught.
Their worlds, human and fae alike may change as they know it and it may not be
the way they would want or like. Not only could it turn out to be dangerous for
both humans and fae Aerewyn may end up losing more than she ever thought
possible. Will Aerewyn find love? Is Erick the boy she believes him to be? Will
he betray her? Can she trust him? Who is this Erick?
Parting Worlds is a fast paced read once I picked it up
there was no way I could lay it down until I had read the last world. Parting
Worlds is the fourth book in the Once Upon a Curse world and I have read them
all and enjoyed each and every one tremendously. I have enjoyed each and every
fairy tell retelling. I have loved each and every world as well as all the
characters. I have loved watching them become the people they are and how they
all ways want to help someone else.
I highly recommend any book in this world, the Once Upon a
Curse world. What and amazing and incredible world it is.

Will the prince's
kiss be enough to revive her frozen heart? Don't miss GATHERING FROST, a
fantasy romance from bestselling author Kaitlyn Davis that reimagines the
classic fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty.
"I wish I could
say I was the hero of the story. A resister. A rebel. Someone who lived to
bring an end to the queen who stole my childhood—my mother, my life, my very
world. But I'm not. I'm not the good guy. I'm the one who puts the good guys in
their graves."
Jade
was only a little girl when the earthquake struck. Before her eyes, half of New
York City disappeared, replaced by a village that seemed torn out of a
storybook. Horses and carriages. Cobblestone streets. A towering castle. And,
above all, a queen with the magical ability to strip emotions away.
Ten
years later and Jade has forgotten what it is to feel, to care...even to love.
Working as a member of the queen's guard, she spends most of her time on the
city wall staring at the crumbling skyscrapers of old New York. But everything
changes when the queen's runaway son, Prince Asher, returns. Under his
relentless taunts, her blood begins to boil. Under his piercing gaze, her heart
begins to flutter. And the more her icy soul begins to thaw, the more Jade
comes to question everything she's ever known—and, more importantly, whose side
she's really on.

Beauty is cursed, and
only the Beast can save her... Don't miss WITHERING ROSE, a fantasy romance
from bestselling author Kaitlyn Davis that reimagines the classic fairy tale of
Beauty & The Beast.
"As the heat
finally disappeared, I felt the bloom blossom in the very core of my soul, a
rose just like my name—a ticking clock hidden behind a façade of beauty. From
that moment on, my life would become a countdown, and all I could do was wait
and watch as the petals of time slowly started to fall."
Omorose
Bouchene has a secret—magic. There's only one problem. At the age of seven, an
earthquake struck, catapulting her into a new world. A land made of skyscrapers
and cell phones. Fast cars and fluorescent lights. A land where magic isn't
supposed to exist and anyone who wields it is the enemy.
But
after ten years of hiding, she's desperate to find a place where she can be
free. Because all magic comes with a curse, and her curse is time—every ounce
of power she uses strips days off her life. The clock is winding down, and the
only option left is to escape to the realm of the Beast. But the king of
monsters isn't what he seems. And the more Omorose opens her heart, the more
she comes to realize that the only person she may need to fear is herself.

This faerie godmother
has an agenda of her own... Don't miss CHASING MIDNIGHT, a fantasy romance from
bestselling author Kaitlyn Davis that reimagines the classic fairy tale of
Cinderella.
"I could redeem
myself if I wanted to. I could help them. But I won't. I'm the villain of their
story, because it's the only way to be the hero of mine."
Hundreds
of years ago, humans learned the secret to sealing magic beneath their skin and
stole it from the world. Faeries reverted back to flowers. Shifters remained
trapped in their animal forms. Mermaids turned to foam. And the magical
creatures who survived vowed revenge.
Nymia
is one of those survivors, a faerie brought back to life by the return of her
magic. When she finds a human girl named Ella with her sister's power trapped
beneath her skin, she'll do anything to get her back, including kill.
There's
only one problem.
This
isn't the world she remembers. Humans here have a power all their
own—technology. And when a human prince sees her using magic, he'll use every
invention at his disposal to track her down. The countdown is on, and time is
running out. Nymia needs to find Ella, take back her sister's magic, and escape
the determined prince before the clock strikes twelve, or she might not make it
out of his city alive...

Granting Wishes
A Once Upon a Curse
Prequel

She's about to
discover a whole new world... Don't miss GRANTING WISHES, a fantasy romance
from bestselling author Kaitlyn Davis that reimagines the classic fairy tale of
Aladdin.
(*This prequel novella is roughly ½ the length of the other books.)
"His words come
back to me--magic is the law. I guess I'm making my own set of rules."
Alanna
thought rock climbing in Yosemite National Park would be the trip of a
lifetime. Until an earthquake strikes and she finds herself plummeting to her
death. But instead of slamming into the forest floor, Alanna drops into a
secret underground cave where she's confronted by the impossible--magic.
A
mysterious man named Erick uses incredible powers to save her life, then tells
her that his magical world has collided with earth, merging the two together.
Alanna writes it off as crazy, until he shows her a vision of her brother being
dragged down a sandy cobblestone street in chains. Crazy or not, she'll do
anything to save him.
As
Alanna and Erick team up to rescue her brother from the clutches of a decrepit
sorcerer king, fate intervenes in the form of a handsome prince. Alanna doesn't
know who to trust, but in this foreign land, flying solo just might get her
killed...

My Review of Granting Wishes:
Granting Wishes is wonderful re-telling of the fairy tale Aladdin.
Granting Wishes tells the story of how one girl Alanna went rock climbing who
soon finds herself falling and falling and waiting to have for the ground come
up and meet with her. The next thing she knows she has been plummeted into a
cave where she meets a guy named Erick.
Erick shows Alanna a picture or vision of sorts of how the
world has changed and that her brother has been taken and locked up. With Erick’s
help Alanna is determined to find a way to rescue her brother.
Humans have discovered magic and this knowledge has thrown
the world into chaos and has become very dangerous for the magical world. Magic in the wrong hands can be oh so very
deadly. Can Alanna with Erick’s help find her brother and save him from the
evil he is about to face? Can a wrong be righted? Can the world be saved from
magic?
Granting Wishes will keep you awake long after you have
turned that last page absorbing all of its magic. Granting Wishes has it all.
It is filled with magic and love. It has suspense and mystery to keep you glued
to the pages as Alanna tries to rescue her brother and meets a very cute dude
that she would very much like to make out with.
I highly recommend Granting Wishes to all fans of Aladdin and
of fairy tale re-telling’s. One click yourself a copy today to begin this
magical adventure.
