Stolen Princess Nikki Jefford (Royal Conquest Saga #1)
Publication date: November 11th 2018
Genres: Fairy Tales, Fantasy, New Adult, Retelling
She sacrificed herself to save her family from poverty…
The ball was only the beginning.
It wasn’t enough to kill my mate, heir to the throne. My obsessive Fae brother-in-law wants the crown. And he wants me ruling by his side.
I thought I was done with romance until a certain pompous elf reappeared in my life at the illustrious Monster Ball. A little teasing led to bruised lips and captured hearts. No one wants Jhaeros and me to be together, not even my favorite sister, Melarue. But she’s a teenager just coming into her elemental powers and discovering boys—the wrong kind—the type I want to shoot arrows through.
My royal in-laws are playing a treacherous game, and my brother-in-law is determined to get what he wants. But this elf princess no longer has a master. I don’t want a crown. I want freedom, family, and the love of a lifetime. But love might be the one thing that destroys us all.
**This book will now include the prequel novella Enemies and Lovers.
My Review:
Stolen Princess starts off with a bang with Aerith hunting
and killing to feed her family. For a long time now Aerith has been supporting
her family by seeing that they are feed and taken care of. Not only does she hunt she has been put in
charge of selling their family jewelry. Aerith is like Cinderella in Stolen
Princes a position that she was thrust into by her father.
At her father’s suggest Aerith enters a contest to become a
guard for the fairy king a contest that she wins with her bow and arrow. She is
then whisked away to the fairy realm where she lives with her new husband until
he killed and she regains her freedom is allowed to return home.
After her return her father forcers her to attend the
Monster Ball where she falls in love with one of her sister’s ex’s Jhaeros.
Aerith never liked Jhaeros very much but after spending a night with him her
feelings change tremendously.
Aerith and Jhaeros are determined to spend the rest of their
lives together but her father is against the two of them getting married so
quick after the death of her first husband so they agree to wait a proper
amount of time before setting a wedding date.
But before they can wed Aerith is stolen away back to the
fairy realm where the new king her husband’s brother wants her to be his queen.
Aerith has no plans of becoming his queen but must abide her time in the fairy
realm until she can make a plan to escape and return to home.
Stolen Princess doesn’t have a lot action but it has enough to
keep the pages turning. The world building is fantastic with all the fairies
and elves’ going from one realm to the other was just awesome. Stolen Princess
is a very intense and fast paced read with twists and turns that leave you
wanting more.
I haven’t had the opportunity to read "Enemies and
Lovers" in The Monster Ball Anthology so when I read about Aerith and her
time in the fairy realm with her husband I thought I was missing something or
that this part was rushed but after learning about “Enemies and Lovers" I
definitely understand and I wish I had read “Enemies and Lovers’ first but with
saying that I still loved Stolen Princess very much even without reading “Enemies
and Lovers”.
I recommend Stolen Princess to all fans of fairies, fae and
magic.

This sounds very entertaining and fast paced! Great review, Nancy!
This was super fun to write. I’m happy you enjoyed all the royal shenanigans.
The prequel novella, formerly Enemies & Lovers, is now the first 7 chapters you read that include Aerith's time at The Monster Ball. (The novella just came out of contract this month and so I was able to blend it into Stolen Princess.) This was originally only going to be the novella, but I couldn't let the characters go so I picked up right where it left off. The novella could have been an entire book but there was a 20,000 word limit. LOL. Thus, having to skip over Aerith's first time with hubby #1 in Faerie. ;)
Thank you for hosting a spot on the tour! 🧝🏹💖
