Book Tour + #Giveaway: Mated to the Wolves by Ophelia Black @RABTBookTours

Pack Pledged series Book 1

Paranormal Romance, Romantasy

Date Published: July 24th

What do my childhood bully, an ex, a shunned pack healer, and my deceased father’s best friend have in common?

They’re all part of the new clan I’m promised to. A prophecy from the pack witch sees me ripped from my college graduation, drugged, and brought home. Thrust into the spotlight of a pack that despised me for being the sole survivor of a house fire that ended two powerful bloodlines, I’m out of my element.

Forced to choose between the start of Ragnarök or my own desires, I embark on a journey with men I don’t want or trust. As the corruption and threats come from the shadows, the options become clear, find common ground or become pawns in a game far bigger than ourselves.

Why does the greater good have to be so freaking painful?

Interview with Ophelia Black

How do you select the names of your characters?

I did a lot of research for this book. I chose them for a combination of their meaning and the connection to the Norse history.

Do you hide any secrets in your books that only a few people will find?

I try very hard to hide small thing that will come into play later. It’s like an Easter egg.

What was your hardest scene to write?

I had a difficult time writing about her kidnapping. It hinted what’s coming in future books, and had a lot of action. There’s a delicate balance between telling too much, and not enough.

Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?

I want each book to weave together in this series. It’s my hope that you feel like the first leg of the journey is complete, but there’s more to come at the end of each one.

What were your goals and intentions in this book, and how well do you feel you achieved them?

I want to explore the rich world of Norse mythology and write a reverse harem that gives each mate time to shine. I’ll know I’ve done that when the characters are satisfied with their story. I plan, but my characters often seem to have a mind of their own.

What inspired you to write Mated to the Wolves?

I’m a huge history buff, and recently I’ve done a deep dive into Norse culture and history. The idea came from my time reading books and watching documentaries.

Can you tell us a little bit about the next books in Pack Pledged or what you have planned for the future?

The next book in Pack Pledged, Sworn to the wolves will see our mates learning more about the pack’s history, lies that have been sold as truth, and adventures on the road.

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in Mated to the Wolves.

Cadoc is an enforcer who dedicated his life to protecting the pack. A born leader, he’s challenged with working with his own clan and getting in touch with everyday life and the emotions that come with it.

Kirk is the former pack healer with many secrets and an empathy for others. Something of a hermit, he’s thrown into life under a microscope.

Fell is the former love interest who broke our main female’s heart. Keeper of secrets and the pack history, he’s complicated and endearing at the same time.

Bo is our main female’s former bully. An heir to a powerful pack family he has depths he goes to great lengths to hide.

Last but not least, Ylva is our artist who wants nothing more than to live life on her own terms. Fate has other plans when she’s drugged and brought back to pack land and given an impossible task.

What did you enjoy most about writing this book?

I loved getting to mix history, Norse Lore, and drama together.
