My Dad and Mom were artists, my father painted and my mother wrote poetry and loved to garden. Most Saturdays we loaded up the 1970 Chevy Impala to trek to a one man show somewhere or other. I took a different track graduating with a business degree; owning and operating an Award Winning Franchise Fitness Center. Currently a professional manager I am living in Florida with my beautiful wife and children, and following my passion.
Some of my other projects include a children's book called Sammy the Sea Turtle - about an infant sea turtle taken from his nest the night he was to find his way to the sea. Sammy lives with the family until their son - the boy who took him, graduates from high school. On that day Sammy, backpack in tow - begins the long journey home.
My second project in the works involves angels - a man during a visit to Bar Harbor Maine encounters an angel; quite accidentally, he is told - she was not supposed to make him aware of her existence. Only three others have ever seen the real thing. Naturally he falls hopelessly in love with the beautiful creature.

I wrote Jack Canon's American Destiny, about a man who wanted to be President of the United States not matter what it took to right the wrongs in America. It's a no holds barred - do whatever it takes story of intense passions. Think the Romance and Innocence of Camelot matched with the Crime and passion of the Godfather. Imagine things getting so bad during a campaign that you have to assassinate a sitting President and you'll start to see what it's about. Well for Women of the House, the story continues...Jack and his crew must fight corruption at the highest levels of government...all while keeping their own secrets. Jack Canon's Women of the House allowed me to delve deeper into the romantic side of Jack and the women that surround him. He's managed to attract some of the most beautiful, intelligent women on the planet to help him.
When or at what age did you know you wanted to be a writer?
Believe it or not, I've wanted to write a book since grade school. My mother loved to write poems and short prose and was an avid reader that taught me a love for books. I thought it would be a tremendous accomplishment to have my own book.
What is the earliest age you remember reading your first book?
It was a little Golden Book, I had a set that my mom would read us a bedtime.
What genre of books do you enjoy reading?
I read mostly spiritual books nowadays. Before that it was self-help, anything to learn how to get on in this crazy world of ours.
What is your favorite book?
Return to Love, Maryanne Williamson. We used to rent a camp for two weeks every summer with our best friends. We both had kids and relatives, it always was a wonderful party. Oprah had on all the best one full week, Chopra, Dyer, Maryanne. I love to read them all. I just read Dr. Wayne Dyer's book on the Tao, it like everything he's written is amazing.
You know I think we all have a favorite author. Who is your favorite author and why?
Wayne Dyer, he's written some amazing stuff. I also listen to his tapes on the way to work.
If you could travel back in time here on earth to any place or time. Where would you go and why?
I love time travel, my most recent book, Gabby, Angel of God involves a little of it. I would go back to the Colonies, see America at its inception. I love reading about the Founding Fathers, I believe it took amazing courage to leave English rule.
When writing a book do you find that writing comes easy for you or is it a difficult task?
It's both a joy and difficult. I love writing, but after the editing is the difficult part - then you have to ask people to read you, promotion is the most difficult part.
Do you have any little fuzzy friends? Like a dog or a cat? Or any pets?
I have a Boston Terrier named Sophie, she is the love of our lives. My wife and I say that love bounces off of her onto everyone in the room. We love that dog.
What is your "to die for", favorite food/foods to eat?
Lately, with my daughters wedding coming up we have been eating very strict. I was walking through Publix, a Florida supermarket, we moved from icy Maine, nine years ago, and had the craving for a flat-bread pizza. I'm Italian, so Gluten Free is definitely out of the question.
Do you have any advice for anyone that would like to be an author?
Write your truth, every word I write comes from the heart, unfiltered. It's mostly fantasy, but they're stories that well up from inside me. You're unique and if you write from that, what gets onto the page will be great. Then find a couple of good editors to help find the typos and grammatical errors. I never wanted to pay close attention to my grade school teachers, and would daydream out the window, usually about what I was going to do after school. Had I known I'd end up writing, then I would have understood the importance. I've had to learn on the job, and thank God, I've had some wonderful teachers show up.
