Tell us a bit about yourself.
I'm 28 years old and I was born and raised in Canada. I come from a French Canadian family so I am fluent in French. I was a professional figure skater until I hurt my knee. I'm an only child and I was raised by my mom and my grandmother. I love country music; it's an integral part of my life. I live and breathe caffeine, it's an addiction really. I live a pretty normal life.
What inspired you to write your first book?
Most of my books are inspired by the men in my life, I know I'm lucky. I've always had a bunch of stories in my head and I just sat down at my desk one day and started writing. My mom once told me that my brain was like a running movie, and I guess she was right.
How did you come up with the title of Make Me Whole?
I wrote the book first and when I read the story, the title just came to me out of nowhere. I felt like the characters each found a piece of themselves in each other, and Make Me Whole just seemed to fit.
Describe your main character in five words.
Strong, Independent, Loyal, Loving, Compassionate
What was one of the most surprising things you learned in writing Make Me Whole?
The editing process took me for a wild ride. I didn't expect that part to be so consuming once we started digging into the story but I am so happy that we did because the story is much better for it. I now know what not to do lol
Have you ever done anything strange or weird in the name of research?
I wish you guys could see me laugh right now as I answer this question. I have this one male friend who might or might not have inspired a character in a new series I'm working on, that I call when I need to know if a sex scene is actually doable. He just laughs at me and tells it like it is.
How long does it take you to write a book?
About a month depending on the storyline and what's going on in my life
Can you share a little of your current work with us?
I just finished working on the first book in a new rock star series which I am sooo excited about. I'm also working on the second book in my Brass Series at the moment. Once I'm done with that one, I'll most likely start working on a new fire fighter series that's been in my head for a while. I have about 10 series lined up just waiting for me to write them, my brain is a little crazy sometimes.
What is your work schedule like when you're writing?
It starts before the crack of dawn. I have multiple cups of coffee, and then I start writing. I find that the story comes to me better in the morning. I'll write until lunch, and I'll spend the afternoon planning out chapters and storylines.
Do you have any writing rituals?
Not really, except coffee…coffee is my best friend when I'm writing.
What book are you reading now?
The Until Series by Aurora Rose Reynolds…I LOVE her books.
Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Thank you so much for reading my book. It means the world to me that ya'll are supporting me on this crazy journey. I hope that you fall in love with Cole and Jamie as much as I did. Send me a message on Facebook or shoot me an email, I would love to get to know ya'll.

If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?
The life I love to live
Kaithlin Shepherd was born and raised in Canada where she learned to figure skate and crafted a love affair with coffee. Growing up in a household filled by strong-headed women, she learned early on that life is what you make it. You've probably never met a bigger country music fan and in the words of Brooks and Dunn, she's a die-hard 'George Strait junkie.' Constructing a world away from her real life, Kaithlin loves the feeling of creating a universe where her fans can forget about everything in their life. She loves writing about hot alphas and doesn't shy away from turning up the heat with scorching hot sex scenes.
