Andres “Rio” Rivera became his ICE profile years ago. Cold and calculating, he never promises anything beyond right now. But when he ends up with a cancelled flight and a shared hotel room with the secretive Celeste Patron, the fire behind Celeste’s buttoned-up exterior melts every barrier. He may only have her for one night, but that’s long enough to make her every fantasy come true.
When Celeste leaves, Rio returns to hunting a notorious cartel leader. His shock upon arresting the man is eclipsed when he discovers the woman he fell for is his daughter…and she’s pregnant with Rio’s baby.

Excerpt:
A
fat raindrop slapped his shoulder while two hit the ground ahead of them. In
seconds, rain pelted the sidewalk around them. She shrieked, stuffing the
container in her bag as she huddled into her coat. With one quick move, he
looped an arm around her waist and ducked into the doorway of a closed store,
her shoes dragging on reluctant steps.
The
deep-set entrance offered enough shelter for them both, if they crowded into a
corner. The single, wide step brought her to eye level, and a devilish streak
made him want to goad her now that he had a captive audience. “That depends,”
he said, studying her startled expression. “Were you actually going to read, or
were you planning on doing surveillance?”
“I-I
don’t know what you mean.” Her eyes widened until the blue irises floated in a
sea of white.
“Really…”
He layered in enough doubt to make her chew her bottom lip. So that’s how she
was going to play it. Fine. Pushing a woman like her, sweet and a little
innocent, could go one of two ways. She would either be shocked and disgusted
or intrigued and turned on. He’d be damned if he didn’t find out how she
rolled.

Most
people at the airport had looked right past her, or through her, but to him,
she stood out from everyone else, in more ways than one. With her down-turned
head and graceful manner she was the picture of innocence—which was a crying
shame. He looked back just as her skirt did another one of those peekaboo
things when she stepped out. Yeah, a
crying shame. He couldn’t have stopped himself from looking if he tried.
Yanking
back her hand, she shut the door and then pulled on her coat, missing the
sleeve. Distracted, she caught her shoe in a tree root punching through the
battered sidewalk. “Whoop—”
Rio
reached out in a purely reflexive attempt to catch her. Every softly rounded
curve he’d been itching to explore landed in his arms, settling against him. He
held her and watched, fascinated, as she shuffled emotions across her face in a
split second, like she’d done on the plane. Eyes widening in shock. Brows
drawing together in embarrassment, then releasing as she discovered him
pressing against her belly. And finally, her lips parting in a sharp breath.
He
stiffened further, hard enough to separate them under any other circumstance.
Meanwhile, little Miss Innocent stared at his mouth like he held the answer to
life itself. He ran his thumb along her lower back. “You okay?”
She
set her forehead on his shoulder but didn’t move. “I may never be okay again.”
Her whispered confession held such a woeful note, he couldn’t help but burst
out laughing

“Come
on.” Kari led them back to the infirmary, taking her time with each step. “I’m
going to try putting the pieces together myself. Stop me if I’m off track.”
They walked away from the edge of the clearing. “I figure you didn’t just meet
Rio yesterday.”
Celeste
kept her expression neutral.
“In
fact, from the way he was acting, I’d say the last time you saw him was three
weeks and two to three days ago.” She held up a finger. “Well, three to four,
since that was a day ago.”
It
shouldn’t surprise her that Kari had figured things out on her own. Did
everyone else know? Did they realize he’d played her for a fool? She closed her
eyes, wondering if everyone in the chow hall was laughing at her, even know.
“Oh,
come one. When you two were together there was so much sexual tension in the
room I thought I’d end up pregnant.”
Oh
damn, she’d hoped she’d been wrong about that.
“There’s
no reason you can’t pick up where you were back then.”
Celeste’s
gaze snapped to Kari. Did she mean sex? If so, no. She shook her head. They
wouldn’t be picking up there. She’s been seduced for one reason, and one reason
alone. To get the Ayala cartel.
“Rio’s
an intense guy, and the way he looks at you…” She looked over and winked. “Well,
as long as he doesn’t launch himself off the ceiling fan, you should be good.”
Author Bio:
Sahara Roberts caught the writing bug early in life. She enjoys writing Romantic Suspense and Contemporary Romance. Her days are filled with international trade issues (the legal kind) and her evenings writing steamy romance. She is currently working on the fourth novel in the Dangerous Desires series and plotting a contemporary romance series.
When she's not at her usual hangout, Savvy Authors, she enjoys socializing on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and her website, or watching APB, The Blacklist, and The Walking Dead (Following Daryl). Sahara lives in South Texas with her husband and a very spoiled cat. She enjoys cooking, baking, and cake decorating, but she would certainly prefer to have someone else do the dishes.
