Blurb:

I left the ocean to save my clan, not to fall in love.

But then I met Ben. Human, captivating, oblivious to my selkie secret.

When the Crystal Lake becomes polluted, we're forced to work together, to save something we both love.

His touch ignites a forbidden fire within me, a dangerous longing that risks everything—my selkie skin, my connection to the sea, my very life.

Torn between my duty to my clan and the undeniable pull of his love, none of that matters unless we can save the Crystal Lake.

My Review:

I found The Biologist and the Selkie to be a brief but engrossing book that held my attention throughout. I could easily picture everything I was reading unfolding before my eyes, as if I were there to watch it all, because the descriptions were so vivid.

I was immediately captivated by Iona's universe after reading the opening paragraph. As Iona transformed into her Selkie skin, she had no idea that she was being watched.

Iona and Ben discover that the lake is contaminated with a dark, greasy material that is hazardous to Selkie but less so to people. Iona and her clan may be doomed if the water is not cleaned up quickly. Ben and Iona make the decision to collaborate in an effort to clean the lake and restore its safety.

Iona and Ben's tale was a real pleasure to read!

I urge everyone to read this romantic science fiction tale! To meet Ben and Iona and assist them in saving the Selkie world, grab a copy of The Biologist and the Selkie right now!
