My Review:
Maité Martinez is half human and half Aunare. One night she
is working when one of the customers decides he wants a piece of her and starts
to feel her up. She reacts before she thinks and the next thing she knows she
is has been arrested and sentenced and on her way to a volcanic planet where
she will spend her prison sentence.
Maité has spent her entire life trying to hide who and what
she is. If the truth about who she is gets out then it could be very dangerous
for her and even mean her life.
Maité’s job assignment on this volcanic planet is very
dangerous and is normally done by robots but someone wants to punish her badly
and may even want her dead. But luckily she has a lot of people who care about
her and has her back and will do whatever it takes to keep her alive.
War is on the horizon between SpaceTech and the Aunare. Maité
must find a way to stop the war before it begins if she doesn’t it could be the
death of everyone in the universe. Can she stop the war before it too late?
Off Planet is a great introduction into the world of the Aunare
Chronicles. The world building for Off Planet is amazingly out of this world. The
characters are all so lovable who care more for others than they do their own
self. Characters that will put their own lives in danger to save the ones they
care about. Off Planet is a great new start to whole new series one in which I
am looking forward to. I can’t wait to see what Maité, Declan, Roan, Lorne,
Ahiga, Tyler and Audrey have in store for us in the next book Off Balance.
I highly recommend Off Planet to all fans of science fiction
or space opera.
