Las
Vegas isn’t safe.
Overrun by the living, it isn’t the
infected that need to be feared.
In order to survive in the ‘Gas Man’s’ playground, one will need to keep their wits about them, and work together.
As Stella struggles with being alone, Logan and the others begin their journey to Canada. In a world overcome with predators, backstabbers and lunatics, working together might not be the best idea.
Or it might be the only thing that saves your life.
My Review:
Stella is still attempting to travel north. In order for Logan, Joey,
and the others to continue their journey, she has left them behind.
Once Stella leaves Logan and Joey, she runs into some troublemakers.
She escapes from them and travels on, her clothes now drenched in
blood. She eventually makes it to a hotel, where Joey, Logan, and the
others locate her.
Stella is accompanied by Logan and Joey
as the group disperses. They exhaust their gas supply en route. Since
every car on the road is completely empty, they are unable to locate
any gasoline. They meet a man at the motel who they refer to as the
"gas man," who just so happens to have all the gas.
This
is where the danger in their journey arises. It's not quite what the
man looks like. He is not the kind man he presents himself as. In an
attempt to win their trust, the gas man puts on a nice front. What is
the man planning? What is it that he wants from our friends? How is
he going to handle them? Is he really who he says he is, or is he
someone else entirely?
The second book in the Dead World
Trilogy, A World Together, is equally as captivating as the first, A
World Alone. I was immediately engrossed in its universe, curious to
find out what would happen to Stella and how she would manage to get
away from her captors.
With so many zombies to fend off, A
World Together kept me gripped from start to finish. It is an intense
read that had me racing to the end. I love this world of zombies, and
I adore each and every character. I feel as though I know them-
they're the type of people you would want to be friends with if the
living or the dead weren’t chasing after you.
