Descendants of Isis #2
by Kelsey Ketch
Release Date: 05/02/14
Summary from Goodreads:
". . . the Sons would never just let him go-alive."
Seth O'Keefe has broken the laws of his god. He never thought he would sacrifice his own future to protect a Daughter of Isis. But when the Sons of Set discovered Natti is the Secret Keeper, he had no choice. Now, Seth and Natti are on the run from his father, who wants nothing more than to see Seth dead. With no allies, Seth turns to the Daughters of Isis for help, hoping they would protect Natti. But when they meet the Daughters, he discovers a secret that puts both their lives in more danger. Low on options, Seth sees only one possibility for survival. He must help Natti solve an ancient puzzle and find the secret name of Ra.
Natara "Natti" Stone is having a hard time swallowing the truth. She can't believe what she has learned in the past twenty-four hours: Seth is a Son of Set blessed with charm; she is a Daughter of Isis blessed with a sliver of Ma 'at; the locket her grandmother gave her holds an ancient Egyptian secret linking to Osiris and Isis. That along with being tortured and brutalized by the Sons of Set, she can hardly hold herself together. Thank God for Seth's touch! That warm, tingling sensation that drowns it all out. Yet her heart struggles to stay focused. She must quickly embrace her destiny before the secret name of Ra falls into the wrong hands.

My Review:
I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.
Seth O'Keefe is a Son of Set along with his father. Seth has always followed his father's rules always doing as he said. It didn't matter if he liked it or not. His father was the boss and was to be respected. Seth and his father worship the God of Set. Seth never expected to go against his own father much less the God of Set but he did when the Sons of Set kidnapped Natara "Natti" Stone when they found out that she was the Secret Keeper.
Natti and Seth are now on the run trying to stay at least one step ahead of his father because all his father wants now is to see Seth dead. Natti is a Daughter of Isis and Seth is hoping that they will protect them both and keep them safe from his father and the Sons of Set. But after finding the Daughters of Isis Seth finds out that they will not protect him. Seth also learns that a part of his life has been a lie from the Daughters of Isis. But Seth will do whatever is necessary to keep Natti alive and away from his evil father.
Seth has always been able to get and have any girl he wants and he always dates more than one girl at a time. Each and every one of his girlfriends all know about each other and do not care that he has other girlfriends as long as they are a part of his little harem. Well of course they may be a little arguing over who is his top girl. Seth has these special abilities that help him get and keep all these girls at once. Natti likes Seth very much but she is not sure that what she feels is her own true feelings or if it is Seth who is making her feel this way. Natti wants to be her own boss and in control of her own destiny.
I have really, really loved and enjoyed reading both the Daughter of Isis and Son of Set. I fell in love with all of the characters in the first book Daughter of Isis and still love them all in Sons of Set. I hope and can't wait to read the next book in the series. I say I loved all of the characters, well maybe that is not entirely true because Seth's father was not a very nice man. The things he did to his son, his wife and other people as well were just not right. How can anyone be so cruel? But I guess that is what makes for a good book is having the good with the bad. If you have not read the Daughter of Isis or Son of Set then I highly recommend that you do so today!
