Blurb:

Evelyn Locksley, one of the three witches foretold to save
humanity from the fata, magical aliens intent on ruling
Earth, is back home in New York City. She’s having a blast,
running the boardroom like a boss and frequenting
hot clubs for scandalizing siren practice.
That is until Evelyn is taken hostage by fata
cronies, the Acolytes of Hecate.
Locked in a magically warded basement Evelyn
witnesses the Acolyte’s strength and begins to doubt that
anyone on Earth stands a chance against the fata.

***

Lily Whiplark is still reeling over the loss of her beloved
second mother, Em, at the hands of the Acolytes.
After hearing of Evelyn’s flamboyant and selfish
behavior in New York when she's supposed to be in Ireland
training for a supernatural war, Lily's grief morphs into
fury that not even triplet peacekeeper, Sara, can quell.
When Lily learns of Evelyn’s abduction will she
be able to put their vast differences aside to save her sister?

***

Will the sisters be able to overcome their rocky past to band
together against the enemies of humanity?

My Review of Souls of Three:

The girls Lily, Sara and Evelyn are given some time off from their magical training. Lily and Evelyn decide to go home to be with their adoptive families for two weeks then they must return to continue their training for the battle to come. Sara opts to stay at Fern Cottage with their birth mother and their aunts as life as not been as good to her as her sisters.

When it is time for the girls to return home only Lily makes it back on time as Evelyn needs to stay at home a little longer as her father’s company has just signed a new contract and Evelyn has been put in charge. Evelyn is also having a whirlwind romance with the new client. Well, that is until she is kidnapped and held in a magically warded cell.

Lily and Sara are very determined to find their sister and bring her home but they are not more determined than their birth mother. So with the help of their adoptive families and others, they set out to find Evelyn and bring her home. But the task may not be as easy as they are hoping as the whole place is magically warded to keep anyone out. Can the girls save their sister? Will they find out where she is before time runs out?

This has been one magical wild ride with all the witches with different magical powers as well as daemons, elves, vampires, werewolves and all kinds of paranormal creatures. But you know if you think about it the paranormal creatures wouldn’t be anything without a great author backing them up. And while I loved reading Prophecy of Three book one in the Starseed trilogy I think Souls of Three book two was so much better. Ashley’s writing just gets better and better with each book. I can’t wait to read the Rising of the Three the next book in the Starseed trilogy to see where Lily, Sara, Evelyn and all the characters take us next and where they take us.

If you are into witches, vampires, werewolves and other paranormal creatures with lots of magic and fighting as well as mystery and suspense then you are going to love Souls of Three but you may want to check the first book Prophecy of Three before reading Souls of Three because you don’t want to miss a thing.
