To find the map and face the Mordgris, Grace will have to confront her past, put the Luck between warring nations, and uncover treachery aboard the ship. And ultimately, her revenge and the destruction of the Mordgris will come at a hefty price: the betrayal of her crew.
Grace promised them they wouldn’t regret this.
She just isn’t sure that she won’t.
My Review:
Grace Porter is the quartermaster of a pirate ship and the
crew is made up of women only. Men are not allowed on the Lady Luck as one of
the ships rules states. But that is one rule that Grace is willing to break
when they come upon a man and a little boy floating in the water with the Mordgris,
sea creatures, who are trying to take them. Grace saves them and brings them
aboard the Lady Luck.
Grace learns that the man Leo may have information to the location
of a map that she needs to find the Mordgris who took her mother away from her
many years ago so she can get revenge.
To get her hands on the map Grace may have to do some things
she never thought she would do. She may have to break a lot of rules and hearts
to get the revenge she is hunting. How far will Grace go to find the map?
When I read the summary for Over Raging Tides I knew I had
to read it as I have wanted to read books with pirates lately and with the crew
of the Lady Luck being all women was an added bonus. I loved sailing the seas
with Grace, Ilene, Sam, Leo and the rest of the crew. I can’t wait to see what
Grace and everyone else has in store for us in the next book of the Lady
Pirates.
Over Raging Tides is a very short read that will keep you
hooked until the very end. Once I picked it up I didn’t want to put it down.
I would recommend Over Raging Tides to anyone who likes
reading about pirates hunting treasure and over taking other ships fighting
them for whatever loot that may be of value to them and sailing on the high
seas.
