How far would you go
to have the perfect body?
Andi Lansing has struggled with her weight all her life. Now
that she’s pushing 30 years and 300 pounds, she’s almost ready to give up. So,
when she’s promised a miracle cure, she’s all too eager to sign up. What’s the
worst that could happen?
From #1 Best-Selling horror author Tony Urban, A POUND OF
CURE is a horrific short story about society’s pressures to be thin, beautiful,
and to fit in.
My Review:
Andi Lansing has dealt with being overweight her whole life and
with people calling her names and not wanting to be her friend. All Andi wants
is to be thin, beautiful and have someone to love her.
Just when Andi has reached rock bottom she is offered the
dream of a lifetime, a cure and she doesn’t hesitate she jumps on it but who
wouldn’t? Andi’s life is about to change drastically. Will she like the
outcome?
A Pound of Cure is a great little story about how we are
always wanting what we don’t have. A Pound of Cure is a story that will leave
you asking is the pasture always greener on the other side?
