Review: A Sweet Mystery by Tama Skye

A Sweet Mystery

by Tama Skye

Genre: Cozy Mystery, Mystery, Suspense

Blurb:

I’m Cate Summers, a pastry chef with a knack for solving mysteries. My dream of owning Grey Pastries crumbles when its owner, Grey Jones, is arrested for his brother’s murder—poisoned by a cupcake baked with Grey’s recipe. But I’m not convinced he’s guilty. They may think they have the right person in custody, but I know something isn't right, and I am determined to find out... whodunit?

My Review:

The title, A Sweet Mystery says it all as it is a sweet mystery indeed. Cate Summers is a pastry chef and wants to buy a sweet little cafe. But then the owner turns up dead with his brother as the main suspect. Cate doesn’t believe Grey killed his brother as he is a sweet dear man.

In the past when Grey’s nephew went missing Cate is the one who found him. Cate is a not a detective but she sure is good at solving mysteries. Cate wants to prove that Grey didn’t kill his brother so she sets out to find out who the real culprit is.

I enjoyed reading A Sweet Mystery more than I thought I would. I would very much like to read more of Tama Skye’s work and I hope to do so in the near future. A Sweet Mystery is a short story to curl up with as you sit by a roaring fire with both to keep you warm and cozy in many ways.

A Sweet Mystery is a cozy little mystery story that is sure to warm your heart and keep you glued to your chair for a little while. It has mystery, suspense, and a whole slew of wonderful characters to get to know.

The outcome is sure to mystify you in many ways. I did not see that ending coming. But what a great story A Sweet Mystery turned out to be.
