Interview with Author Mrs. Hot
As a writer, what would you choose as your mascot/avatar/spirit animal?
I’m a leopard. A she-huntress, on the prowl. (Insert leopard growl here.)
How many hours a day do you put into your writing?
About six.
Do you read your book reviews? If yes, do they affect what you write in the future?
I read them. They do not affect what I write, because I write for myself.
Do you leave hidden messages in your books that only a few people wil  find?
Never have, because my message style is very in-your-face.
Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in The Book of Hot: A Manifesto?
I, Mrs.Hot, am the main character, with a cast of the intriguing men who are drawn into my orbit.
Can you tell us a little bit about your next books or what you have planned for the future?
My next book is a collection of true romantic adventures from my youth.
Do you allow yourself a certain number of hours to write or do you write as long as the words come?
I try to do six hours, at the very least. If words don’t come for one story, I’ll leave it and brainstorm another to write about later — as long as I’m creating, I’m not wasting time.
Do you have a certain number of words or pages you write per day?
No, six hours at the keyboard is how I limit myself. Because I want to be balanced and have a fun life outside of writing.
What inspires you to write?
My philosophy of living life to the limit, without boundaries and without apology. At any age!

Would you rather
Read fiction or non-fiction?
I like both.
Read series or stand-alone?
Stand alone.
Read Science fiction or horror?
Never.
Read Stephen King or Dean Koontz
Neither.
Read the book or watch the movie?
Read the book.
Read an ebook or paperback?
Paperback. STILL easier on the eyes.
Be trapped alone for one month in a library with no computer or a room with a computer and Wi-Fi only?
Well that’s a tough one. They are both so tempting, and I spent much of my youth in libraries. But the breadth of information on a computer is so compel ing; I’ll choose the computer.
Do a cross-country book store tour or blog tour online?
Both have their merits. The blog tour can reach more people.The book store tour means meeting people up close and personal, which I adore. I guess the face-to-face would be my preference.

About the Author

 photo unnamed 1_zps7lzts4a4.jpg
I’m a gorgeous Goddess who transformed from shot to hot! I found myself in my late fifties facing a future of loneliness, infirmity, and pain—single, in a job from hell, and battling emotional issues that left me unhealthy, unattractive, and in despair. The only men on my sofa were Ben and Jerry! With time goosing me with “it’s now or never,” I plunged into my makeover, a journey of emotional, physical and sexual healing; then, after decades away from it, the world of dating, with its mind-blowing contemporary dynamics. Fearless, edgy, and disruptive, I’m Sex and the City’s Samantha 2.0, now fully ripened—and that much more wise, joyous and juicy. We’re not getting older, we’re getting bolder; my quarter million Facebook followers agree. Catch my blog at http://www.mrshot.com.
