Farm Hand

Star Farmer #3

Published: October 24, 2024

Genre: Space Opera, Science Fiction

Blurb:

Sometimes a farmer can turn a profit by diversifying his crops . . .

Tom Savage and Gwen Wilder have a farm hand now, Silas Vick. And Silas has some ideas of new things they can grow out here.

That might be good, since a lot of stuff got destroyed recently, meaning they'll have to wait on more equipment from Lute before continuing experiments. Tom's got other responsibilities, too, with a list that seems to be growing along with the farm. At least Lisa’s capabilities are expanding, with greater communications and teleportation capabilities.

Meanwhile, Wink and Jinxie have more smuggling routes to run. And they’ve still got another battle tank to unload, if they can find a willing buyer . . .

My Review:

Farm Hand is the third book in the Star Farmer series by Jaxon Reed. Farm Hand was a delight to read. I love Tom Savage and everything about the world around him. Each character brings something special to the story. Farm Hand had me hooked from the first page.

I am more in love than ever with Nanotechnology, especially after seeing that rooster. I love the rooster and the nanobot. The battles that seemed to follow Tom wherever he went kept me glued to the pages waiting for another one as soon as one was done. The action just kept on coming page after page.

The world-building is exceptional. I can see everything I read playing out in my head as if I was there. I would love to see the Star Farmer series as a TV show. I would watch it. I love trying to picture all the farming equipment in my head. I also love trying to figure out what the vehicles may look like.

I see Tom as a cartoon character sometimes. But either way, I always see him with a smile on his face. For some reason, I see a smile on his face even when he happens to be in a fight. I don’t know why.

I can’t wait to read more about Tom in future books in the Star Farmer series. I highly recommend reading the Star Farmer series today!
