The Remains is the third book in Hayley Anderton's Risen series. It begins with Jaz, Levi, Harper, and Maria driving down the road, reminiscing about all that they have lost since the dead came alive. The Bullies have overrun their last safe place, and they are now on the run, looking for another safe place.
Since leaving their last safe place in the hands of the Bullies, Levi, Jaz, Harper, and Maria have not seen any Bullies roaming the roads. They roll up on a community that seems empty of the living or the dead. No one is roaming the streets looking for their next meal.
Have they found their safe place? Winter is coming on them fast like the Bullies. Yeah, the undead or Bullies are fast if you want to live you have to be faster than they are. What has happened to the Bullies? Have they gone and died? Is that even possible? Do the undead or Bullies die? Can they die? Where are all the people? What is going on? Is this nightmare coming to an end?
Questions, so many questions. Answers, what are the answers, where are the answers? The answers to so many questions can only be found by reading The Risen series starting with the first book The Risen then the second book The Lost and finally The Remains. The Risen is a series that needs to be read in order, to understand it.
I love zombies and can’t seem to get enough of them. Once I open a book with zombies I can’t seem to take my eyes off the page until the last page finally creeps up on me and I am like what? No way, it's not over yet, is it? I never want a zombie book to end ever. I never wanted to see The Risen series end either.
I am going to miss this amazing world of zombies or Bullies and the wonderful people who made it possible, the characters, Levi, Jaz, Helena, Maria, Harper, and all the others.
