Fairytales aren't real…yeah…that's exactly what Bianca thought. She was wrong.
For generations, the Frost family has run the Museum of Magical and Rare Artifacts, handing down guardianship from mother to daughter, always keeping their secrets to "family only."
Gathered within museum's walls is a collection dedicated to the Grimm fairy tales and to the rare items the family has acquired: Cinderella's glass slipper, Snow White's poisoned apple, the evil queen's magic mirror, Sleeping Beauty's enchanted spinning wheel…
Seventeen-year-old Bianca Frost wants none of it, dreaming instead of a career in art or photography or…well, anything except working in the family's museum. She knows the items in the glass display cases are fakes because, of course, magic doesn't really exist.
She's about to find out how wrong she is.

When joined together, Cinderella's slippers grant the wearer her heart's desire. But whose wish will be granted?
When Cinderella's glass slipper is stolen, Queen Felicia sends her faithful steward Terrance to the real world to retrieve his love and witch-in-training, Bianca Frost. The power of the glass slipper, when paired with its mate, and in the wrong hands, could ruin the peace of Everafter. Bianca must gather every bit of magic she has learned in the past few weeks to find the slipper and protect her new love. Together, Bianca, Ming, Prince Ferdinand, and Terrance venture deep into the heart of Everafter to seek clues as to who has stolen the slipper and why. Along the way, they uncover what happened to the Seven Dwarves after Snow White married the prince, but also learn the awful risk of tampering with black magic and the high price that must be paid for magic, even when used for good.
Bianca and Terrance's relationship is put to the test. Through the pain of suffering and loss, Bianca must determine if following her gallant boyfriend into his faraway world is in fact her heart's desire.

But all is not cute hair and fancy shoes as a mysterious count sets his sights on Bianca at the ball. Author Interview-
What inspired you to write First Frost?
I got the initial idea for First
Frost while watching a commercial for the Delaware Children’s Museum. I started
thinking how children are often into different things while they’re growing up,
dinosaurs, pirates, trains, etc. And I thought ‘It would be cool if they had a
museum just for pirates, trains, or fairy tales’. The moment I thought the
words fairy tale and museum I knew I had an amazing idea right there. After
that I needed to come up with characters that worked at this fairy tale museum.
Who were they? What did they do all day? What items did they have on display?
And once I was in that frame of
mind the rest was history. I loved getting to know Bianca, Rose, Ming, Prince
Ferdinand and Terrance. They are awesome characters.
When or at what age did you know you wanted to be a writer?
I always wanted to be a writer.
At least for as long as I could remember, but I began to take the idea
seriously when I was 18 years old. That was when I realized that I could
actually make a career out of writing.
What is the earliest age you remember reading your first book?
4 years old. I was always an avid
reader. I think the first book I ever purchased with my own money (cost me 25
cents at a school book sale) was Clifford the Big Red Dog.
What genre of books do you enjoy reading?
I love fantasy novels.
Specifically fairy tale retellings. I also enjoy romance novels.
What is your favorite book?
Strangers in Paradise by Terry
Moore. It’s actually a comic book series (now available as a graphic novel) but
it’s the one book that I pick up over and over again and never get tired of
rereading and discovering new details about the artwork, plot and the
characters.
Another favorite book of mine is
Kissing the Witch by Emma Donoghue.
You know I think we all have a favorite author. Who is your favorite
author and why?
At the moment it’s a tie between
Terry Moore and Marissa Meyer. They are both incredible story tellers. They
created a rich backstory, settings and amazing characters. Any time either one
of them releases a new book I rush to the store to try and be the first person
in line to get their new book.
If you could travel back in time here on earth to any place or time.
Where would you go
and why?
If I could go anywhere it would
probably be Positano, Italy. It’s my dream to one day visit that little town.
Why? I’ve always been fascinated with the way their homes are built on the side
of the mountain. I would really like to see it with my own eyes.
When writing a book do you find that writing comes easy for you or is
it a difficult task?
I’m one of the very lucky authors
that writing comes easily to me. I get lots of ideas and it’s very easy for me
to pull something out and jot down notes no matter where I am. At the doctor’s
office, in the school parking lot, at a loud party, in my living room. I write
everywhere. So I’m very lucky that my brain somehow thrives in chaos.
Do you have any little fuzzy friends? Like a dog or a cat? Or any pets?
No. Maybe someday my family will
get a puppy, but right now my family can’t handle having a pet.
What is your "to die
for", favorite food/foods to eat?
Chocolate. And I also LOVE
Chinese food. It’s something I could eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and never
get tired of it.
Do you have any advice for anyone that would like to be an author?
Usually what I tell aspiring authors is to follow their
hearts while writing their story. Another thing I suggest is to learn the
business side of the publishing industry. Because once your book is published
you have to learn how to sell your book and that often takes time to learn.
Read your contracts before you sign anything. If there is something you don’t
understand feel free to ask questions. The last thing you want is to sign a
contract and lose your work (it happened to me).
