Blog Tour: Finding Center (District Ballet Company #2) by Katherine Locke @bibliogato @GCReading #Giveaway

Finding Center by Katherine Locke
New Adult, Contemporary Romance
District Ballet Company #2
Expected Publication: August 17th, 2015

Zed and ballet are my two greatest loves.

But a tragic accident ripped them from Aly's life six years ago and it took all her strength to get them back. She's had a long road to recovery and has returned, dancing full-time for The District Ballet Company and carrying Zed's child. But Aly is slipping. Each day becomes a fight to keep her career from crumbling under the weight of younger talent, the scrutiny of the public eye, and the limitations of her ever-changing body. A fight she fears she's losing.

I'm scared Aly is broken to her core.

Zed recognizes signs, but he doesn't know how to fix her. The accident left him with his own demons, and while he wants nothing more than to take care of Aly, it's getting harder the further she spirals. When Aly's life is threatened and Zed's injuries prevent him from saving her, he's never felt so useless, so afraid he is no longer capable of being the man Aly and their child needs.

With new life comes new hope. And with their fractured lives already hanging by a thread, Aly and Zed must discover if they have what it takes-both together and apart-to rebuild and carry on.

I obviously love ballet, but I’m not a dancer myself! I learned how to write ballet and dancer lives from a lot of research. But let’s be honest. The research wasn’t so difficult. It was pretty easy on the eyes. If you want to follow some really awesome dancers on social media, I highly recommend the following Instagrams:

1 1. Tiler Peck, principal dancer at the New York City Ballet. Easily one of the best ballerinas of our time, Tiler’s also absolutely adorable, married to a sweet and adorable fellow principal (Robert Fairchild), and she has really cute dogs. https://instagram.com/misstilerpeck

    2. Marcelo Gomes, principal dancer at American Ballet Theatre. He’s gorgeous, super talented (both as a dancer and as a choreographer), and he posts photos of beautiful people and delicious looking food. He’s a definite add to your Instagram feed. https://instagram.com/marcelua/

    3. Misty Copeland, principal dancer at American Ballet Theatre. If you haven’t heard of Misty, you might be living under a rock. But never fear! I’m here to help. She grew up in an unstable home, homeless and living in hotels at points. She didn’t start dancing until she was nearly a teenager, and wasn’t on pointe until she was 13. She was clearly incredibly naturally talented and she fought her way to get to where she is. She is the first Black principal ballerina for ABT, and she has danced major roles in nearly every classical ballet at this point including Odette/Odile in Swan Lake this past season. Her instagram is almost as badass and amazing as she is. https://instagram.com/mistyonpointe

    4. Roberto Bolle, the hunk of ballet. I mean, principal dancer at ABT. Not only is he incredibly talented and has worked with the top choreographers and dancers of the world, but he’s really hot. And he’s fond of shirtless photos on Instagram. You are welcome. I know, I know, I’m too kind. https://instagram.com/robertobolle

    5. Eric Underwood, American dancer who is a soloist at the Royal Ballet (London). He’s also a model, an all around nice sounding guy, incredibly talented, and posts great photos of him, his ballet friends, and beautiful dance. And he’s really attractive. Keep an eye on him…he’s a superstar in the making. https://instagram.com/ericunderwood

About the Author

Katherine Locke lives and writes in a very small town outside of Philadelphia, where she's ruled by her feline overlords and her addiction to chai lattes. She writes about that which she cannot do: ballet, time travel, and magic. When she's not writing, she's probably tweeting. She not-so-secretly believes most stories are fairy tales in disguise.
