Clive and Adrien Done are eager to start their lives together. When they purchase an old, dilapidated home for a steal, they’re cautiously optimistic they’ll be able to restore it to its old glory. But on their first official night in the home, their optimism turns to terror.

The previous owners failed to disclose the home’s dark history and the even more disturbing truths about former occupant, Albert Knewl.

When day turns to night and night turns to living nightmare, the couple faces unspeakable fear and a formidable sadistic ghost who hasn’t yet lost his appetite for torturing others.

Find out what happens when a couple’s dream home turns into the place they can’t wait to escape in this horror story!

My Review:

A young couple Clive and Adrien have just bought a house. They are very excited to move in. The house they bought is the Galston House an old haunted house. No one from the town will go near it. But Clive and Adrien don’t care about the house's reputation all they care about is that they found a house they could afford.

Moving day arrives. They get moved into the house without a hitch and everything is going just great. The couple is very happy until night rolls around and just after going to bed the lights go out leaving them in total darkness the kind of darkness where you can’t see your hand before your eyes kind of thing.

While Clive tries to find the switch box in the dark, Adrien has a visitor. Just after Clive leaves their bedroom Adrien soon realizes that she is not alone that someone is in the room with her and it is not Clive. Someone has just touched Adrien. Who is in the room with her if it is not Clive? Who touched Adrien? Is it human or is it a ghost? What touched Adrien?

The Galston House has a reputation that no one bothered to tell Clive and Adrien before they bought the house or moved in. Clive and Adrien were ok with not knowing the house's history. I guess they didn’t actually believe in ghosts. Well, until the day they moved into The Galston House that is and they came in contact with something dark and sinister.

The Galston House was a short quick read that had me on the edge of my seat. Mark Layton knows how to scare the crap out of you. The descriptions of all of his stories are so vivid they seem real. He makes you feel what the characters are feeling. He can make you see what the characters are seeing as well.

If you are looking for a ghost story or two then Mark Layton is the author for you. Right about now is the time when I would like to say grab your copy of The Galston House but when I did a search for it on Amazon I couldn’t find it. I wanted to leave a review. I believe The Galston House should be shared and spread around for everyone to read.
