Genres: Thriller, Young Adult

A teen girl who sees visions of the past must use her gift to save a kidnapped classmate in Shani Michelle’s high-stakes YA thriller You Should Have Seen This Coming!

Hayden sees the past. Just touching an object will occasionally give her flashes of the previous owner’s memories. And if that memory happens to be a deeply hidden secret, then she has no problem making you pay for your crime, in cash.

Cassie sees the future, and it sucks. She will randomly wake up from dreams filled with disasters that she feels compelled to stop, and she would really like to stop watching her boyfriend fall in love with someone else!

But when Cassie tries to warn Hayden that her latest blackmailing scheme is a trap, she knows she’s really in trouble. All her visions warn her of the upcoming kidnapping, nothing she does stops it. And it’s all Hayden’s fault!

Can Hayden’s gift help her find Cassie before it’s too late?

My Review:

Two teenage girls, classmates, both have visions. One sees visions of the past while touching an object. If Hayden finds any hidden secrets in her visions then she will use said secrets to obtaining money from her victims.

The other sees visions of the future. Her visions usually come from a dream, dreams that happen over and over on occasion. Cassie tries to use her visions for good and to help others.

Cassie has a vision that she has been kidnapped. She tries every way she can to stop her vision from coming true but without success. Cassie tries to warn Hayden about her latest blackmail schemes but before she can is taken.

You Should Have Seen This Coming is told from both girls' points of view. I like getting stories from more than one point of view. I like to see the world through more than one character's eyes.

You Should Have Seen This Coming is a fast-paced read with all the mystery and suspense that kept me hanging on from beginning to end. I enjoyed reading You Should Have Seen This Coming way more than I ever thought I would. I liked the combining of mystery and paranormal elements in one book.

If you love mystery and paranormal stories then you are going to love You Should Have Seen This Coming! Grab your copy of You Should Have Seen This Coming today for another great adventure in the paranormal world!
