Hidden in the safety of their woodland refuge, Ryler, Anna, and their determined allies piece together a fragile existence. But when a cryptic message crackles through their radio, unveiling a shocking revelation, they are thrust into a fateful decision: confront the enigmatic Grant and the ominous Company or succumb to the shadows that encroach upon their sanctuary.

Ryler, burdened by inner conflict, initially hesitates to abandon their makeshift camp, haunted by the specter of danger. However, an encounter in a nearby city ignites an unquenchable fire within him. The time for complacency is over; they must rally their strength, rescue the residents of Deep Blue, and salvage their own tenuous existence before the unforgiving clock runs out.

My Review:

Emergence is the second book in The Deep Blue Colony series and I loved it just as much as the first book Deep Blue if not better. Once again I was pulled deep into The Deep Blue Colony world as Ryler, Anna, Red, and Pulli take us to the surface. We are introduced to some more lively people in Emergence.

Emergence is full of twists and turns that I never expected but are so exhilarating. The world-building is astonishing, to say the least. The description was so vividly written I could see it all playing out in my head with no problem at all. There were quite a few shocking twists that kept me hanging on wanting to know what lay around the next corner.

I couldn’t quite believe some of the things that Grant and The Company were doing or had been doing. I do believe that it was more shocking to Anna as she was living it. I love the storyline though and what The Company did even though I don’t agree with how they did it or the things they were going to do.

But as a story in itself, I absolutely loved it. I don’t think I have ever read anything quite like The Deep Blue Colony before. I can’t get enough of this world and can’t wait for more or at least I do hope there is more.

I would love to read more about life in Deep Blue. I would love to know more about life living underwater. I would like to know about the first-day people started living in Deep Blue or maybe about another colony.

I highly recommend Emergence to anyone looking for their next great read! Grab your copy of Emergence today!
