She wants to rid herself of her gargoyle powers, but that may mean losing her love—and her life.

A magical teen who just wants to be human. Lyra believes her wings are a curse. They prevent her from truly embracing her human side. But when a willful young warlock bursts into her life offering to help, she’s smitten.

A warlock who wants his powers back. Alix was banished to the human realm. At least, that’s how he sees it until he’s charmed by a half-human, half-gargoyle young woman. But when a once-rejected, evil warlock explodes onto the quiet town threatening death and destruction, Alix takes action to prevent the slaughter of everyone he holds dear.

When barbaric foes blaze a path into the human world to feed on their energy, can Alix and Lyra protect their friends and family from these magical miscreants and find love? Or will they be sacrificed to these power-hungry monsters?

Stone Outcast is the fascinating fifth novel in the Masonry, Magic, and Love sweet paranormal romance series. If you want true love, lionhearted heroes, and paranormal mischievousness without the steam, you’ll treasure Gayle Katz’s enchanting gargoyle romance.

My Review:

Stone Outcast is the fifth book in the Masonry, Magic, and Love series. Like all the books before it Stone Outcast drew me into its world from the first page. It had me racing to the end to see how it all turned out. I was pulled in by all its magic and the twins, Lyra and Luna, half-human and half-gargoyle.

Lyra and Luna have wings and can fly but Lyra has never liked her wings and doesn’t like flying. She would very much like to be rid of her wings once and for all never having to fly ever again.

A warlock, Alix pops into Lyra’s life offering to help her. Alix was stripped of his powers and banished from the magical world to the human world. Alix wants nothing more than to get his powers back and would problem do whatever it takes to do just that. Now, the question is, how far will he go to get his powers back?

But then trouble blazes a path into their life disrupting everyone around them and putting everyone in peril. Can Alix with Lyra’s help save the human realm from all the evil magical creatures that have made their way to the human realm destroying anyone who gets in their path? Or will they perish like the others?

Stone Outcast is full of twists that kept me hanging on every word. Although there were some surprising twists there was this one that didn’t surprise me at all as I kept waiting for it. I knew it was coming although I am not quite sure I liked but I do believe that it made the character quite happy and that is all that matters in the end.

I can’t wait to read more about this world in the next book Stone Sisters. Grab yourself a copy of Stone Outcast today and join in on all the magic!
