Interview with L.J. Ambrosio
Have you read anything that made you think differently about fiction?
A book that might look interesting but filled with soft core porn.
How do you select the names of your characters?
Remembrance of someone who was important to me—Louie in Exiles has nothing to do with me that we are all Louie
Do you hide any secrets in your books that only a few people will find?
My novel is an “open book” to friends
What was your hardest scene to write?
Death— I had a few deaths—I had to say goodbye they go back being memories
Do you want each book to stand on its own, or are you trying to build a body of work with connections between each book?
The three books are very much connected in message but each stands alone in story.
What were your goals and intentions in this book, and how well do you feel you achieved them?
Perfect for the first two only the reader and their reactions will tell me
What inspired you to write the Reflections of Michael Trilogy?
Reservoir Man my life
Reflection on the Boulevard the search for beginning the exile
Exiles hope for finding love friendship being a partisan
Can you tell us a little bit about the next books in Reflections of Michael Trilogy or what you have planned?
I want to write one more book, but I am afraid it might be dark. It depends on what happened here in America. But I will do it something inside me wants to talk/writ/
Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in Exiles?
Louie, Lily, and Ron must Exile to be whole and Enlighted- might be too abstract but just stay with me when you read the book
What did you enjoy most about authoring this book?
The End of the book the last chapter. I cried a lot
