I know her as the unconscious girl I found bleeding out on the locker room floor.
I got her help. I saved her life.
The next time I see her, she makes it clear she wants nothing to do with me.
Too bad.
I didn’t go through the trouble of saving her life just for her to throw it away again.
She doesn’t know it yet but I’m about to be her new best friend.

My Review:

The Savage is the first book in the Boys of Richland by Daniela Romero. The Savage grabbed my attention on the first page and kept hanging on page after page. The Savage is a sad story that will break your heart. The Savage is Cecilia’s story.

Cecilia is a student in college. One horrible night Cecilia is attacked by three popular students. When she tried to tell someone what the boys had done to her no one believed her. Cecilia has lived this night over and over.

Cecilia had come to the end of her rope. She couldn’t see any way out of the feelings she carried inside her every day, every minute, every second. She couldn’t take it any longer. She had become so sad and miserable that she tried to take her own life.

Gabriel found Cecilia lying on the cold hard floor. Gabriel found her in the nick of time. He saved her life. Gabriel and Cecilia became close friends after. Gabriel wanted to keep Cecilia safe and help her through it all. Gabriel knew how her family felt as his twin brother had taken his life.

Gabriel swept me away with the way he took care of Cecilia. He never pushed her to do anything she was not ready to do. He was so sweet and tender with her. He tried to help her in every way he knew how.

The Savage is a great start to a new series the Boys of Richland. I can’t wait to see what the next book The Striker holds especially after that ending.
