Blurb:

Quiet little Mulberry Street is harboring deadly secrets.

Meet sharp-as-a-tack Agnes Eady, our newly widowed and retired police clerk. Slightly frumpy and a bit snarky, her sleuthing skills will soon save the day!

While returning a wayward canine to its owner, she stumbles into a perplexing mystery.

Her neighbor is dead on the kitchen floor.

With that, Agnes’ innate curiosity draws her into a murder – albeit over the grumbles of her former boss, Chief Sanders.

The plot thickens as her tenacity reveals that there is much more to her neighbors than meets the eye.

And Chief Sanders may be
barking up the wrong tree.

Can Agnes – with some unwitting feral feline assistance – find the guilty party before she becomes a victim herself?

My Review:

A Murder on Mulberry Street is an introduction to a new series Agnes Eady Cozy Mystery written by author Tessa Parks. A Murder on Mulberry Street is a short read but it reads like a full-length novel. It is filled with mystery and suspense that will keep you hanging on for more from one page to another.

Agnes Eady finds her neighbor Delwyn’s dog Bruno on the loose, chasing a stray cat into her home without his leash. Agnes finds it strange that Bruno is outside as he is never out of the house alone, much less without his leash.

Bruno chases the cat into Agnes's house, under the bed, and she bribes him with a chicken leg to get him to come out and leave the cat alone long enough for her to take him home to his owner, Delwyn.

Agnes takes Bruno home and finds Delwyn lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Agnes calls the police to let them know what has happened. Agnes used to work at the police station as a clerk so she knows how to maintain a crime scene.

A Murder on Mulberry Street kept me on my toes as I tried to help Agnes solve the crime. There were plenty of suspects to question. A Murder on Mulberry Street was a fast-paced read that kept me glued to the pages as I tried to figure out whodunit. I can’t wait to see what Agnes has waiting for us in the next book, especially after that cliffhanger of an ending.

I highly recommend A Murder on Mulberry Street to all mystery and suspense fans. Grab a copy today!
