My Review:
Peter and his old school teacher Mr. Dalton had a run in the parking lot at a grocery store, damaging Mr. Dalton’s groceries. Peter felt bad about the damaging his groceries so bought more.
Peter takes the grocery to Mr. Dalton’s house but the old man is waving around a shotgun telling him to leave. Mr. Dalton seems to have gone off his rocker. Mr. Dalton has been acting kind of crazy lately just ask his neighbors. The whole town has seen Mr. Dalton at his worst.
Peter leaves but when he gets home the police are there they inform him that Mr Dalton was dead. They take Peter in for questioning.
Peter decides to find out what happened to Mr. Dalton. Why was he dead? Did he finally hurt himself? Was it an accident? Or was Mr. Dalton murdered? The mystery deepens.
Dead Man Dalton left me with plenty of questions and reasons to want to keep on reading so I could find out all the answers to what happened to Mr. Dalton.

The police aren’t interested though, and so Dr. Jessica Stern asks Peter for help, knowing he’s an ex-agent and maybe he can unravel the mystery. Only Verna is fast becoming more and more terrified as her precious kitties go missing. When Verna is injured, Peter has to ask: Just how valuable is Verna’s property, and who stands to inherit? The whole thing makes him wonder if there’s something more to this kitty caper. My Review:
The Feline Caper is a sweet, cute little mystery story about missing cats. A sweet little old lady takes in stray cats and adopts them out when possible. If they aren’t adopted she keeps them and takes care of them. She loves all the cats. The town people call her the crazy cat lady.
Jessica asks Peter to look into the missing cats. The police won’t be bother to find the missing cats. Peter is reluctant at first but after speaking with Verna about her cats changes his mind. Peter’s investigation into the missing leads him to believe that there is more to the missing cats than just the cats.
The Feline Caper kept me on the edge of my seat wondering about the missing cats. Where are they? Did someone take them? If so why? Did they want them for themselves? Or did they have more unscrupulous reasons?
The descriptions were so vivid I had no problem following the story and seeing it all play out in my head like a movie. I enjoyed reading about the missing cats and meeting Verna.

My Review:
Jessica asks Peter to be her plus one at her little brother’s wedding. Jessica doesn’t know her brother very well. After their parents divorced they each lived with a different parent and didn’t see each other very much.
Jessica wanted Peter to come along on this trip as she wanted to talk about where their relationship was going. Peter thought he could get in some fishing while he was there.
Peter finds the best man lying face down in the water when he is picking out his boat for the day so he could go fishing. The police thinks it is an accident but Peter and Jessica doesn’t think so after questioning the wedding party guest.
What is going on? Did Cory drink too much the night before and wondered down to the water and accidentally fall in? Was it an accident? Or is someone trying to hurt Cory. Is someone hiding something and wanted Cory out of the way to maybe keep his silence?
As always with Daisy’s writing the mystery deepens keeping me on the edge of my seat wondering what is going on. The mystery and suspense keeps me hanging on every word as I need or want to know what is happening.
