Blurb:

The Earth is in a state of shock after the apocalypse. The veil between dimensions is no more. Demons and fallen angels walk among humans, and everyone is trying to find their place in the new world - Morgan le Fey's world.

But the fairy queen finds herself cemented within humanity and struggling with human emotions, and her right-hand-man, Lucifer, has secrets which are causing fissions among every race.

Meanwhile, Karl and Elena struggle with their powers, Katarra delivers an important message, and two men will stop at nothing to protect their unborn child - the Messiah of the New Age - and the woman they love.

Far to the east, the fallen Archangel Michael is fighting for the one he holds above all others.

The Last Dragon is about to rise and seal everyone's future, which depends solely on its survival ... or its extinction.

Notes: The Witching Pen series is comprised of a paranormal romance trilogy (books 1-3) and an urban fantasy novel, The Last Dragon. It is HIGHLY recommended that you read the trilogy first, so that you are not lost with this story. (Contains explicit scenes of sex and some violence.)

My Review:

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Elena is the most powerful witch on the planet and not only is she a witch but she is part demon and succubus. Elena is a very strong person I mean she has to be in order to be in control of her demon and succubus. When the time is right and she needs to she will let her succubus takeover be the one whose is making all of the decisions. Elena has a very kind and loving heart and would never hurt anyone unless they hurt one of her family members first and then she would rip their head off.

Karl is having a few problems with who he truly is and it is tearing him up inside. It is making him do and say things that he would never do or say. Karl says some very ugly and hurtful things to Elena. But Elena doesn't give up on him. She knows that something or someone has probably taken control of Karl or he would not be acting like he is. If she has to put her life in danger or give up her life Elena will not give up nor will she lose Karl without doing everything in her power to find him and bring him back to her.

I loved all the characters and could not get enough of any of them. Mary and Gawain were my two favorite characters. I was hoping to read more about Mary and Gawain's time together but I will have to admit I was a little disappointed because I didn't. Mary and Gawain they were with us but in memory only. But with them not being with us did not take away from the book at all it was still one of the best books ever written. I am very glad that I read it. I kept putting off reading it not because I thought I would not like it. No, no way that is the furthest thing from the truth as you could ever get. No I put off reading it because I didn't want it to end. I am going to miss Elena, Karl, Mary, Gawain, Amy, Paul, Pueblo, Lucifer, Kattara, Katherine, Abaddon, Morgan le Fey and all of the demons and feys too.

I fell in love with all of the characters in the first book The Witching Pen and have followed along with them from The Witching Pen to The Sands of Time and then The Demon Bride and now I have seen the last of my good buddies in The Last Dragon. Elena, Karl, Mary, Gawain, Amy, Paul and Pueblo are no more. If you have not met Elena, Karl or any of the other characters in The Last Dragon then you need to introduce yourself to them but you need to start with The Witching Pen first so that you will know and understand what is going on with them and who they are. Dianna Hardy is one brilliant author and has done an amazing job with The Witching Pen Novellas and while I am sad to see The Witching Pen Novellas come to close just knowing that she has other great and fantastic novels with some great characters is the only thing that is consoling me at the moment.
