Excerpt Tour + #Giveaway: Prairie Muse by SS Hampton, Sr @GoddessFish

Prairie Muse
by SS Hampton, Sr.
GENRE: Erotic Romance

BLURB:

The fireworks are about to begin as the sexual adventure of Rachel and Burt Markham continues. Small business owners and happily married couple of 20+ years, they live in the small town of Four Corners, Kansas. The year before, with the permission and encouragement of her husband, Rachel had the freedom to explore the depth of her sensuality through having her first Bull. After saying farewell to her Bull, Rachel and Burt settle back into the routine of small town life. Then, African-American frustrated artist and new fireworks territory sales manager Horus Grant arrives in Four Corners. He is searching for new sales territory for the Missouri-based company and wants to open a fireworks stand next to Rachel and Burt’s seed and feed store. Outwardly friendly and personable, he is plagued by hidden demons. Though based in near-by Wichita, Horus finds himself returning to Four Corners again and again, and not because of the fireworks stand. Rachel is also drawn to him and soon realizes she may hold the key to Horus’s slim chance of defeating his demons, of healing, and learning to live again.

Excerpt:

…Burt liked the bistrot, especially the daguerreotype, ambrotype, and tintype photographs that the owner hung on the walls. If they never went back to the bistrot he would be disappointed.

Pioneer Suites offered them perks for being such regular customers, except for the few times that Nate paid for a room at some non-descript motel near his side of town. Apparently the Suites, though somewhat expensive, wasn’t his cup of tea for one reason or another. But then, a motel or the Suites only had one purpose and it wasn’t the appearance or comfort of the room. It was the altar-bed where Rachel and Nate played out their lust for one another.

In a way it was really strange how much Nate had become a part of their lives—he was just Rachel’s bull after all. They knew more about him than he knew about them; the extent of his knowledge was that they had two grown daughters and owned the seed and feed store in Four Corners. As long as he could fuck Rachel every two weeks he was happy enough with the arrangement and what little he knew.

Burt sipped his coffee. He enjoyed the smell of fresh perked coffee.

He wrinkled his nose and sniffed.

The loft bedroom was cool and aromatic. It smelled of feminine and masculine sweat; the delicate smell of patchouli perfume and rose petal bath oil; cologne; the strong, raw smell of masculine sex and Rachel’s own sex odor. All of the scents mingled together into an overwhelming and exciting scent…
