Interview with Kay Sanders
#1 – Do You See Writing as a Career?
For myself writing is more so a way to share my wisdom and knowledge with the world and it positions me as an expert in the industry. As I am a Business Coach and Mindset Mentor, having published books gives me an additional outlet to impact people as well as gives me the expert status.
I would say writing is more so an addition to a separate career, at least in the field that I am in rather than a stand alone career.
#2 – What was the Hardest Part of Your Writing Process?
For this book, I honestly had no challenge in writing the book as I was receiving spiritual guidance to write the content. The challenging part I experience now is the marketing aspect and getting my book out there as I want to impact as many people as possible.
The previous book I wrote, the hardest part was overcoming the writers block and the mindset behind releasing a book that I had written. I was concerned how people would perceive my book and questioned if anyone would even purchase it.
#3 – Did you have any One Person Who Helped You Out with Your Writing Outside of Your Family?
For my first book I had a colleague who gave me the basic run down of how to go about writing a book but other than that I was on my own, I also read a few books about writing and self-publishing. I tend to be very focused on a goal and for each of my books, as soon as I set the intention to write the book, I was very focused and kept working on it until it was finished, which was relatively quickly.
#4 – What is next for your writing?
My next book will be a self-help book around mindset and how to tame your inner gremlins to create the success. Moving forward I am sure I will be writing a few more books but for now, my next book will be “Tame Your Inner Gremlins”
#5 – Do you have an addiction to reading as well as writing? If so, what are you currently reading?
I definitely have an addiction to reading, learning and developing myself. As for the writing, its less of an addiction and more so an inspiration whenever I receive the guidance that it is time to write a book. This book, Messages of Inspiration was not even in the planning as I had intended to start working on my “Tame Your Inner Gremlins” Book until I received the inspiration during a meditation that I should create a book with 365 inspirational and motivational messages to help readers see what is truly possible for them so they can create more joy, happiness and success in their life.
