In the harsh reality of the post-apocalyptic frozen tundra, Raiden fights his growing attraction for Ashley Winsor and her handsome shadow, Stone.

Moving closer to separation the threesome navigate a world filled with angry harvesters, subterranean trains, and hungry polar bears. Through this steamy dystopian trek, Raiden discovers that these two people may be the only thing he loves on this ice bound Earth.

Once they arrive at headquarters a decision will be made… Is Raiden the man who will destroy their fragile relationship, or is he the harvester Ash and Stone need to love?

Interview with C.M. Moore

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in Raiden Out The Storm?

Sure. Raiden is the main character that the reader follows. He lives the life of going above ground and hunting for items in the snow to sell. (In this dystopian future, the Earth is covered in ice.) Anyway, the lifestyle is a hard one and he is a bit of a loner. In the story, he has a rival who he has a love-hate relationship. Up to the beginning of the book, he thinks this rival is a man. Ash Winsor. As the story starts out, he soon discovers that Ash is a woman and slowly he falls for both her, and her companion Stone. Stone is a male who travels with Ash during the story. This is a threesome love story.

Can you tell us a little bit about your next books or what you have planned for the future?

So… Monica and I decided to do another Off-The-Rails novel. I had an idea for a character that is sort of the bad-guy in our other book 2:05 a.m. The next book “Tea For Two” is about Teagan and a set of sexy twins that she falls in love with. After that, Monica wanted to do a Christmas story for the Ice Era Chronicles. We have that one waiting in the wings too. Eventually, I have promised everyone on the Ice Era Chronicles Facebook page that I will be back on 3:05 a.m. Some of those people are a little antsy.

How long would you say it takes you to write a book?

It takes me months to design a book in my head. It takes my wife three weeks to write it… as long as she doesn’t hate it, especially the end. If she hates the story, then she literally won’t lift a finger to help me. I love that about her. She makes me think about every part of the book. Without her, I don’t know what I would do.

What is your favorite childhood book?

I would have to say The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. I love Mark Twain’s writing. I also liked Where The Red Fern Grows. It’s such an emotional story.

If you could spend the day with one of the characters from Raiden Out The Storm who would it be? Please tell us why you chose this particular character, where you would go and what you would do.

I would hang out with Ash Winsor. I think she’s funny. I would love to see the world form her point of view. If we hung out, I would just ride the trains with her.

What was the hardest scene from Raiden Out The Storm to write?

By far it was the gay sex. I’m embarrassed to admit this but when I started writing, I tried to talk Raiden into being straight. I told him that I wasn’t sure I could write him having sex with Stone. I got that Raiden liked Stone, but I just wasn’t sure I could give the scene justice. My wife helped me, and it turned out okay. I feel like I grew as both a person and a writer. I like that Raiden is his own man and he wanted what he wanted. In the end, I was happy that Raiden stayed true to who he was.

What made you want to become a writer?

My wife. I love working with her. I love this project. We have so much fun together. In the morning, we go to this little cafĂ© and talk about characters and story lines over breakfast. It’s my favorite part of the day. I’m happy that we started on this journey.
